- Barbecue chicken consists of chicken parts or entire chickens that are barbecued, grilled or smoked. There are many global and regional preparation techniques and cooking styles. Barbecue chicken is often seasoned or coated in a spice rub, barbecue sauce, or both. Marinades are also used to tenderize the meat and add flavor. Rotisserie chicken has gained prominence and popularity in U.S. grocery markets. Barbecued chicken is one of the world's most popular barbecue dishes.

In North America, barbecue chicken is often seasoned with a spice rub, then coated with a tomato based barbecue sauce, and grilled.[citation needed] Some versions only use a spice rub and don't use sauce. Barbecue chicken can also be prepared in pressure cookers, in which the chicken is cooked inside the cooker with barbecue sauce, and in slow cookers.

@@UncleBillsKitchen you have nailed it on the amount of salt and water for brining .. I wished I had marinated a little longer but it was good, the grub I didn’t have all the ingredients, so .. I like lemon pepper!! ; )
What was the sauce made from @7:17
Sweet baby ray’s honey bbq sauce mixed with open pit and a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
@@UncleBillsKitchenamazing, just what I was looking for! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
My pleasure!
Another question - about what temp is the grill for this method?
Hi Jason. I try to hit around 250 grill temp. But mainly target an internal temp of 170.
@@UncleBillsKitchen Thank you!
Wouldnt rock and normal salt dissolve the same?
My experience is that rock salt dissolves slower.
Could I do chicken thighs using this same method? Brine + dry rub + sauce?
Yes, absolutely
What is your wet sauce !!?? The same as your dry rub but with oil in it !!??
Do you have the recipe for the sauce?
Check out minute 3:28 on my recipe here ruclips.net/video/rQ6BNsTDThw/видео.html for how I make sauce.
