    You could help your team out by buying a few gallons of 30 second cleaning solvent. It works on vinyl, siding, even on painted cement block. I use it yearly to clean all of my vinyl fencing. Spray it on, let it do the work, then rinse it off. You'll probably need a few applications in the current state of the walls, but it beats scrubbing. If haven't already done so, give it a try. Your team will love for it, love you even more.

Never mind the dually and some of the full size spare rotation. It just seems that folks don't get it or they're not taught how to properly rotate and take care of their customers tires. So it's great to see that not only do you know it. You're willing to take the time to do it and teach Troy how and why to rotate tires correctly.

    People need to realize, while everything looks nice and shiny during slow times, it still costs money . If there’s a reconditioned axle available, with a warranty, that’s definitely the way to go. It would be different if it was your own truck, but for a customer, it makes sense to let another shop take the risk and get the customers vehicle back on the road faster, especially if the price is in the same ball park. Most customers far prefer today over sometime next week.

    • @larrybe2900
      @larrybe2900 Год назад +1

      The surface condition of the axle is what takes it over for new. Then spray some film rust inhibitor when done to give it a long life. That would match the new backing plates on the brakes.

      @wokewokerman5280 Год назад

      I'd also be happy if someone can locate one out of a wrecked vehicle. Rear sets are like a clock, so many miles and the wear is there. A rear end with 60k, add new wheel bearings, and then new oil should last a long long time, probably way past the rest of that trucks life....

    • @jamram9924
      @jamram9924 Год назад

      Reconditioned axle? Unless a low mileage axle from a low mileage vehicle, new bearings and seals but used ring and piñon gear what some shops would call reconditioned/rebuilt. Too much work to use used gears. Up to the owner what they want to spend on their vehicle.

    I did my part last week. I changed oil and filter on both Patriots, replaced all of the brake pads and rotated tires. It's summer and the Driveway Garage is open!
    Way back in 1974, I replaced the rear axle in a 1967 Charger with the one from a wrecked 1968 Coronet. Done in the apartment parking lot. No power tools, just a 3/8" Bernz-O-Matic socket set and a few Crescent wrenches.
    The "good old days"...

    Ray, I noticed that you do not have a street sign informing the public of the location of the garage. I know people do appointments via the internet but wouldn’t business increase with a sign? Click! We may get some sign gravity 😂😂😂

    Both of your employees are doing a great job! The shop looks so much better and that has a positive mental affect. It also looks much brighter in there. If you ever do decide to paint the walls make sure you use a primer that promotes adhesion or the top coat will flake and peel.
    Are any repair shops down there air conditioned?
