Nooo, stock Chassis should never be in the lane next to a tube chassis and be considered even..We all know stock chassis is at a huge disadvantage at the point..

I just love how Chief sticks with his Pontiac over everything. There's no other car out there like it. That motor has already way over achieved and it ain't done yet. That car is perfect for small tyre. If Chief gets that thing lined out to its full potentail it's gonna be a real problem on the streets.

After starting to learn to dial my fox on the street I got a whole new respect for the fast tuners on the street.. my softest backside no prep tune smokes the tire on the street I'm starting from scratch...
The OG Murder Nova is not quite OG anymore. It has a new, top of the line chassis, Procharged Proline Hemi... It's not a fair race unfortunately.

Of all the cars on the show this car stayed the most true to what we fell in love with on the show... All the other ones are literally NPK cars now or are basically pro mods😂... Love that he kept it OG with the Pontiac power... Despite the fan girls on the internet that don't understand street racing telling him you need a ProLine engine.... Or you need to run a procharger😂
Other than him not changing engine combo he has an NPK car lol. Double frame rail tube chassis with carbon front end. NPK car are not pro mods other than sharing the same engines

@@jeremyedwards7357 no because motor placement, pro charger size, shocks and springs, gear ratio, converters in nitrous combo the motor itself is usually smaller than in a heir npk cars. And now they are all on small tires on the street. Even chief has 28s on his car for the street. There is way more to it than swapping tires or pulling some power out. As busy as ok schedule is they didn’t have time to swap back and forth when they were trying to do both
I'm not a racer but I'm a mechanic and I would say the stock chassis car definitely is more of a disadvantage than a tube chassis so realistically there should be two different classes but on the streets it's usually run what you brought and hope you brought enough

It's a slippery slope. The definition of a chassis car is going to be the challenge. At what point are they going to consider the car crossed over. Backhalfed, front halfed, full tube chassis, stock suspension, motor setback, stock firewall, if stock suspension are adjustable torque boxes allowed, etc, etc. And is everyone going to get on board with a universal rule set. I see your points to this but I see the challenges in definition. I kept stock firewall and stock front suspension for years because I thought this was gonna happen. But yet it never changed. So now I'm changing it up.
And I agree with that, but what they are asking is an interesting question. Big tire got destroyed by the run what you brung and hope you brought enough. So does small tire face the same fate? Likely, unless everyone gets on board with a ruleset. Problem is where is the line of where to draw the ruleset. I've seen this shit coming for a long time.

This is what I love about racing! The never ending challenge to go faster than the guy beside you especially if the make and model of your cars are the same or similar. Equalizers? Ha, they wish and you think ahead.

Well hard to say. You see cars that arent full chassis cars being very competitive. Take Tommy Hoskinson and the Falcon. Look at what he did against Frankenstein at Da Pad. He got out horsepowered at the end, but the fact is that car hooks on just about any surface. I think it all comes down to 3 things: power/power management, chassis tune ability, and overall layout of the ride (i.e. wheelbase, engine placement, CG)

Chief and Jackie my 2 favorite Skreet Racers I have followed since the Flip Days and love how you keep to your roots Chief with the Pontiac small block twins and Jackie back to her roots Nitrous I live and breathe for lumpy cams and turbo sounds my body becomes one with the motors life I feel it's heartbeat and it becomes part of my body while I'm in the car I love what your doing with Jackie's Dad's Nova I love Black Cars but that Nova Is Addbass. And I guess the corvette is cool too. Lol. I'll forever be a fan of your work Chief and I've come to love both of ya no homo fam from here in great Ole Lexington Ky right down the road from Chiefs old stomping grounds Loser I mean Loisville my bad that's the Wildcats fan coming out in me lol.

Needs 2 classes for sure for 28's....... 1)Tube chassis allowed/anything goes, only rule 28 non-w's................2)Stock floor, stock firewall, stock front suspension for that car, backhalf (from driver seat back allowed), no billet heads/blocks, stock body for the chassis, 28 non-w's, drive to the lanes.

QUESTION: Does Chief want a Ford Falcon Mad Max Interceptor like we all did when we were kids? EDIT: Such a huge disadvantage for a Stock chassis to go against tube chassis..they shouldn't even be side by side in my opinion.

Used to be the equalizer, back when people were racing pretty much stock cars. Heck there was a dang rail car out there at one event! Pretty soon you’ll be seeing them come out getting in there anything on 28’s.
Doing big things I see!
Seeing more small tire runs currently. Finished a two day watch in FL.. Couple of Mustangs went straight down a well prepared - (sticky) - track, in the finals, on smalls. (Seem to be more stable / straight than running bigs). Simply a different race.
Im not a racer...yet, working on it but I really think the track owners and promoters will have to choose to keep the sport safe and alive. Im going to build so I can race local tracks and be competitive.

I really wonder if that was Shawn was told to do that by the show runners. A lot of 187s decisions seem odd to me, but if you factor in the show and the people who own/run it, it’s less so. I wonder if it’s all about money and I really wonder/worry what happens when the show ends? These guys spending so much money, will they have anything after the gravy train ends?

You might want to check to make sure Hue/Saturation setting is set to default in editing software. Chief looks he on fake sun tan on, red objects in the background kinda glows due to Hue setting being bumped up.

Hi guys, love the show & the content. Love seeing the Crow doing any kind of racing, big or small tyre. Small tyres look funny on the Crow as we are all used to the big tyre on it. Have to agree with the earlier comment, thought the Vette was going to be the street racer?Justin should put a Pontiac big block in it just to upset the purists Lol 👍🏻
The 75 LTD has stock 4 link like mustangs just minor bar replacement for solid adjustable on 8.8 its doing great 560bbf 250 nos like Pontiac and love my ford's i built 455 olds 125 over block stroke out had dow pin rod caps on rods awesome Olds was its name in the 80s love the tourqe ford and Pontiac Olds have 😊

No! But everyone has to put the power down period. Just kinds sux for true stock suspension cars. There are lots of half tube cars with offset upper control arms that are basically 4 links. Or tied together with the front tubing. Racing in these big events. But best believe I'll be there trying this year!!!! With a stock susp car

I no nothing when it comes to drag tires but I just put a 28 10.5 on the back of my stock 93 GMC 1500 on the stock 8" wide wheel just for the took and it fits nice even with the 4/6" drop kit on the truck still looking for a set of skinnys for the front for a good price 🤣

I think it's about all the variables involved, but in the end a chasis car is an advantage over stock chasis, I just think it's about who's driving and how well they know there car

Depends on the suspension location and weight & engine location.
i would reference kamikaze’s race against the pro mod driving the el camino couple years back and conclude the street is Denzel Washington

I dunno, a lot of cars have trouble with a 10 inch wheel and a 28x10.. Like G bodies .
Chrome Molly chasis is a pro mod. A real street car is a stock chasis car. There's a big disvantage to the stock chasis compared to a tube chasis

I think it depends on surface if it's a heads up on virgin road then yes some airport race yes but anywhere you can stick that tire then the horse power and tubed car is going to win and then something could be done

Tube chassis cars belong in their own category. It’s already to where a man with a lower income can’t compete in small tire! I’d like to see a small tire no power adder class with stock suspension stock body and stock geometry suspension. Taking a 30 to 60 mile cruise would be cool too!
When you got people like Steven Little, Billy and Tommy Hoskinson running in the 4’s how can your average gear head compete. I’m tired of bracket racing and index stuff and I can’t street race cause I drive for a living.
Motor ratio and tune ,,, I've seen a stock chasi Camero big block race fuel nitrous pull 6s in the 1/4 n when my brother got out of it he was gost white LoL , when you build it n tune it

IMO, all the stock chassis cars should run each other until 1 is left, the Tube chassis cars should do the same, until 1left, then let the drivers Negotiate for whatever Advantage/1st move or handicap ,whatever. Then run each other for the Overall Winner. Tracks I've raced at years ago used to do this, Footbrake cars against Pro/Transbrake cars. Always fun. Chiefs Tuning Skills would make y'all hard to beat.👍👍

Depends on the surface. A Pro275 or an Extreme 10.5 or Outlaw 10.5 chassis car on a sticky track not gonna be fair but on the street same chassis guys get going on setups and kick the tire where a guy that doesn’t have all the adjustments gets throws the world at the tire and goes a 200ft wheelie and takes home the bag of ones to the club. Surface equalizer
The only issue i have is the initial plant/hit everything is focused on the inside of the tire and not the center, granted it could be my OCD or the 30+ years of working on cars saying those applied physics and fliud dynamics don't add up.
