I guess this is an alternative recipe. Churros come originally from Spain and the mix is just made with water, flour, salt and sugar just mixed not cooked before fried in oil. Later you sprinkle sugar over them
@The Rachel Johnson That just means you oil was too hot, or you churros were thin so they cooked too quickly. The trick is to make a churro, let it cook to deep golden brown, and then test it. If it's gooey in the middle but brown outside, the oil is too hot. Just adjust the temperature. If you have a candy thermometer, you can use that to make sure your oil keeps an even temp. A lot of time your oil will reach the right heat, but continue heating, so it gets hotter and hotter, so you need to adjust it as you go and keep an eye on it. Hope this helps! xo
This looks so amazing! I can't believe how simple it was! I have two questions. How long does it take to cook the out the raw flour taste? And how much salt should I add to the cinnamon sugar mixture? Thanks! I'm going to make them this weekend!
Oh man! this looks absolutely delicious, the first time I tried these was when I visited Disney World in Orlando and they were amazing. So I'm of course going to try make these, and great video :) Feel free to check out my new RUclips channel, I uploaded a video Yesterday- early April favorites. I don't think that's fair... She was working, and maybe she isn't used to being on camera.... You haven't met her, and she could be totally different out of this video. Give her some slack

Yeah, the dough we're using is pate a choux, which is a French pastry dough. Churros are originally Spanish. Xoxo

I'd love to see your take on Horchata!

Hey! To cook off the flour flavor, about two minutes or so. For salt, I'd start with a 1/4 teaspoon and add more to taste. Cinnamon is up to you! Xo
Ok awesome! Thanks for responding. I can't wait to make these!
That was great!
Looks SO GOOD! what else is in the sugar mixture? cinnamon sugar and white sugar?
Haneen Arman Yeah! Cinnamon, Sugar and a bit of salt, to your taste. xo
Oooh sign me up for some Cinco De Mayo churros! :D
What oil did you guys use? My churros came out the color of a cream puff. I have not skilled in frying but I want to learn.
Is there a way to substitute the milk for soy milk?
Nathalie B i have seen recipes with water...
Your dress is killer! Where is it from?
Marissa Nieto It's a romper from Anthropology! I don't think they're available anymore- I picked it up in a sale at the end of December! So cute.
Have I heard it's a "French mixture"? If it is Churros are originally from Spain.
