    I was trying to find footage from the original Homestead track layout. I can't remember what year it was.Such a beautiful track,needs to be put back on the schedule. Two race event. ROAD COURSE AND OVAL.Would put the wannabe F1 race at Miami Hard rock stadium to shame. IndyCar, maybe you can work with Miami dade metro motor complex to reconfigure some parts of road course and make this the final race of the season in years coming. Hands down the best place to end the season.

    • @junintf666
      @junintf666 2 года назад

      IndyCar should've never left Homestead-Miami to begin with. It's one of the oval tracks that has to come back, and suits well with the current DW12s. Makes no sense not racing there.

      @@HumbertoSaabedra Thats true, but let's keep in mind NASCAR races at IMS road course (owned by Penske who owns IndyCar as well) that means the opposite can happen as well - Indy racing at NASCAR-owned tracks. I don't see an issue in doing that, although it might never happen

    • @HumbertoSaabedra
      @HumbertoSaabedra Год назад +1

      @@junintf666 you're missing the fact that NASCAR will only lease tracks to IndyCar if they have a title sponsorship and meet minimum ticket sales. This is why Iowa returned to the schedule.
      They no longer pay sanctioning fees for races or are willing to spend money on marketing IndyCar races.
      The planned race at Richmond was cancelled because of low ticket sales and no title sponsorship.
      Roger Penske owning Indianapolis Motor Speedway matters very little to NASCAR, other than the series being willing to play along with Penske's desire to keep the oval exclusively for IndyCar.
      As long as Penske is alive, NASCAR will not race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.
