    What is the use on calculating bend deduction ?
    We already found flat pattern dimension by bend allowance .

      Bending allowance and bend deduction is the initial calculation of design to avoid upcoming issued in sheet metal fabrication.
      Calculating bend deduction, for the material you will have to remove from the total length of the flanges in order to arrive at the proper length in the flat pattern. hope it helps

      Yes, it can be measure by three ways.
      1) if the part is small, you can use profile projector to find the actual radius.
      2) if the part is too big but the radius is small, you can use rubber cast method.
      3) There is radius gauge available for each size, you can compare with the matching gauge to find out the actual radius.

    @7:11 minutes - K factor in your formula is 0.5? Shouldn’t be 0.4 from the table? because radius is R is 10;which is less than 3 times thickness? Please correct if I am wrong, Cheers

      10mm inner radius + 5mm wall thickness

      @@zeroto1009 35 MM LENGTH AFTER BEND + MATERIAL THICKNESS IS 5 MM = 35+5=40 , 40-25 = 15 . SO THE SETBACK VALUE IS 15 MM

    WHAT IS THE USE OF BEND DEDUCTION ?
    K FACTOR IS HALF OF THE VALUE OF THICKNESS MEANS , K FACTOR VALUE IS ALWAYS 0.5 AH ?

      Please refer 5:26 - the statement mentioned on this side "the location of the natural axis varies and is based on the material's physical properties and its thickness" so, it not constant as always the the K factor is not half of the thickness.
      Please refer 7:40 i have told that usage of these calculation. what is the required total length needs to cut before bending based on these calculations.
      Yes, i din't mention the use of bend deduction in this video.
