- Yipee! This was a super fun video to collaborate on. TunnelBerg is a super talented voice actor and singer, and you may know him from his Male Other Friends cover that blew up within the past month. I knew after I saw his cover that I needed to collab with him - thus this was born! I always felt the song Here Comes a Thought fit Spinel and Steven super well, so this was born.

I love this! I can totally see Steven passing down what the gems taught him to Spinel, especially this song. Letting her know that even though her relationship with Pink took a turn for the absolute worst, it doesn’t have to be the end of the world for her. That she can truly move on from those horrible years. If this was in the movie I would have actually started crying. “Found” almost got me but if he sung this to her after the final battle when she asked “what am I doing” and they turn off the injector and Steven just sits down with her and gives her his full attention and starts singing this. Then when the crystal gems rush back up to them Garnet sees them and just smiles with a little tear and a nod. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😫😫😫😖

Man this song, truthfully was always a favorite of mine, I think due to how much I could relate to it. And it still holds up today for me honestly!! So I always held this song close to my heart, and then a cover like this comes around. .....And I'm just literally about to Cry, because this is all I could've wanted and more!! Just a moment.... a singular moment, where the two characters talk about their thoughts and feelings on certain memories. *And It's nice to see Steven take the reins in terms of showing Spinel this room, and telling her that it's okay to feel this way and that it shouldn't affect her as much.* Honestly if friendship isn't in store for this duo, then I atleast want just *one* moment like this, where they really can connect. And possibly put all of the horrible trauma they've both been suffering from aside, and finally come to terms...that they have nothing to fear. Since they aren't alone.
Kittensneeze, it's literally so cool you can put your own Spin, on different things and make it work all the same!!! Like jeez, you're simply amazing!! This was incredible, especially with rhat smooth as Hecc animation on the both of them!! Really helped, convey the emotion put into it. Great job!! :'D

YOOO IKR?? LIKE FR I NEED THAT MOMENT OF CLOSURE WITH THESE TWO, THAT SHOWS THEY'RE FINALLY ON GOOD TERMS WITH EACH OTHER!! I was actually thinking about this like a few days ago, before I saw this cover!- That there's a moment, a quiet moment where Steven and Spinel are left alone, like maybe Steven checks up on her and the diamonds, and they leave the room for a bit. Then they have a conversation and Steven mentions that when the gems reformed, they went through their previous forms, and he noticed Spinel changed too, and then it turns into that one comic where they're talking about that same thing (y'know the one she said she tried to shatter herself? q-q) except now it's confirmed she poofed from heartbreak, so she can say that instead ;;
She then starts to have a little breakdown, saying how she's really sorry about what she did, and that Steven didn't deserve to pay for what his mom did and right in the middle of her rant Steven cuts her off by giving her a well-deserved hug (that we were waiting for in the moviee ;w;) And he tells her that it's ok, that she was hurt and he forgives her, so then they both sit there, crying and hugging, Steven gives her a smile and she returns it, ending things off with a "thank you.." And the scene ends with like the Diamonds coming back to the room or something and they pretend like nothing happened, but like now they're on better terms than ever 😖💕

i love how the animator kept the SU style consistent, but also sprinkled in their own. i love the visuals, and the voices sound really accurate!

I hate how everyone hates pink diamond. In "A Single Pale Rose" Pearl states that Blue and Yellow didn't listen to her status or anything. And it was also stated that Pink was also selfish, yet she learned from her mistakes. She wanted to put that in the past. It's more of Yellow, Blue, and White's fault for neglecting and not listening to her. As Rose, she was different, she wanted to protect Earth, and especially Garnet. These are all just facts from "A Singe Pale Rose", I just feel as if people are forgetting them. This is honestly very wholesome and cute.

Oh when asked Rebecca Sugar stated she wanted pink to be unlikable. So that people could sympathize with the ones she hurt.
