    Is the problem with the internal threads common and if I encounter it, what size is the stud used to push the pulley back on? Thanks

    I'm thinking there should be some info on aligning the pulleys. I actually paid a shop to change my pump and they didn't press the pulley on far enough and my belt has been chirping ever since.

    If I follow the instructions I will not be able to lineup the other pulleys, and that is very important information you should include in your video.

    Help! My power steering is making noise. Why would you replace the pulley????? Isn't it the pump that goes bad? I am confused and don't want to fire "The Parts Cannon" at my truck. So why, why, why would you replace the pulley???

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  4 года назад +3

      +Ben Kanobe Thanks for watching! The main reason to replace the pulley is when the bearing wears out causing it to wobble, and in turn create a lot of belt squeal. 1aauto.com

    What i had to do to the tool that installs the pully is cut some of the stud off (3/16) and it works like a charm

    Can you tell me what the part is that is at the end of the steering rod? Looks like a pump. I'm leaking fluid from the bottom of that part. What do I need to replace? Is there a gasket that wears out that I can replace?

    My 92 Silverado has new water pump, tensioner pulley, idler pulley , serpentine belt and alternator but it still whistles loud when i start her up. I having a heck of a time locating this sound but i was told it could be the pump but the sound isn't the sound of power steering pump, it is more of a whistle. Could it be the steering pulley?

    I don't understand, if the pulley comes off wit the whole pump unit, why do we have to remove the pulley first?

      +ggg's fan As long as the pully removing tool can still grab onto the pully, then it should remove the same way.

    At the end you didn’t touch up on anything about filling up the fluid and bleeding the air which is as important as installing that pump .

      He didn't touch the fluid system, no need to bleed.
