The more they get involved with one another the stage is set for a new big bad and if stuff goes well with Michael Simone that could be the next power house tbh. Lang had issues with Turk and wanted to kill him, Marty aimed a gun at Lang. That's only one of a bunch of different things that happened, which included Marty scamming cb multiple times. Lang distanced himself from gg a long time ago because of their actions
Than you don't understand Lang, Lang is egotistical character which don't even trust his own employee, do you know how many times he question Harry and Ray or even Tony? He is like this because he was betrayed multiple times. It's just a character development issue.
