  • This is a video I made showing how I clean my 5th scale Redcat Dunerunner. I use a solution of Simple Green and water in a spray bottle to presoak the rc then use a pressurized steam cleaner I bought from the thrift store for 8 bucks. Then once it is cleaned off I use an air compressor with a blow gun wand to dry it off with. After everything is dry I use cowrc.com moo slick on all the open gears and bearings. This method works well. In cases of heavy mud I will bust out the garden hose, but that is very seldom. Be sure all your electronics are waterproof before trying either method and your rx battery is disconnected. Hope this helps somebody!

What is up man! Yeah it wasn't the most dirty lol. I was just showing how I do it most of the time. If it is muddy, I might use a garden hose low pressure with the rig leaning against a wall. Appreciate you stopping by 👊 🤘

@@SteelCityRC cool buggy btw! never heard of "redcat's" before, another hpi baja clone i guess ? mine is from "xtc" lol ^^ the chassis looks quite different

@@tezy0193 This buggy is 4x4 and the same wheelbase as a Losi 5iveT. So it is a bit longer than the baja. I am not sure of it's origination. I have seen the brand HSP with the same chassis. The HPI Maverick was another similar. Sadly Redcat discontinued the Dunerunner buggy..

Shawn P oh wow that sucks!! You should be ok as long as the ear drum isn't ruptured. I was in an artillery unit in the Army as a mechanic. Worked on 109 Howitzers. Got a radio call for service and as I pulled up they went into a fire mission and fired off 3 rounds. The first one blew out my humv windshield and my ears. I threw in the ear plugs hanging from my pocket button before the next two rounds. Not long after my ears recovered. But I heard a click in both ears real loud on the first round. No warning to us they about to fire. Wish you luck!!

Sup man. Been using simple green and either an air compressor or that steamer to clean my RC's for years. I blow the rig dry with a long blow gun. Then finish up with Maxima SC1 silicone spray. Rigs look and function new when I am done. Obviously I cover the brakes and clutch before spraying with the SC1 stuff. Everyone has their ways to do stuff. If it works for you. Keep doing it. I will also. Thanks for stopping by my channel 👊🤘
