Very glad u reminded me to go and play Carrion, I bought it on sale long long ago, tried for few minutes as I was busy, but looked very good and I forgot to go back to it. I have 300 ish indie games so they do get lost.
I bought Carrion because of the first video from you :) And Turnipboy was a free game in the Epic Store, but I didn't play it yet; now I know I have to!
I adore Carrion, bought the limited edition VHS edition from limited run games…and I have the platinum on PS4 and 5…oh, and the Thing is my favourite film of all time. Firewatch has a limited run physical version for PS4…it’s now expensive. Sword of the vagrant, excellent top bollocks 😂
With how I am with games, if I played Arcade Paradise, I'd end it with a super successful laundromat...and no arcade machines. lol Oh man, Carrion...I keep forgetting about it though you and Laci both went through it and have said I should give it a go. Firewatch is one of those that I'd love to be able to play again for the first time, knowing nothing of it so as to re-experience it. It DID get a physical...from Limited Run. Yeeeah, and it WAS limited... Despite the cost, I DO want to nab a physical version of Turnip Boy. I keep seeing it at GS on PS4, but I want it on Switch, so I'm being picky. I enjoyed Sword of the Vagrant; the art is good, nice music, and I enjoyed the metroidvania style of play; it plays well and I still want to go back to try and get the ultimate ending.
It has 2 downsides, no multiplayer and a slightly longer loading. But... its great for kids (no multiplayer means they're safe) and portability is awesome
Excellent selection you chose here my man, I've enjoyed a large number of them immensely. Did I detect that Live at the Arcade is ending... or was that something I'm reading too much into?
The PSP was great for indie games ( though sadly not physical releases). I absolutely loved the 'minis' program that Sony ran. Speaking of princesses ...there was a PSP mini called 'Monsters (probably) Stole My Princess' ...spoiler alert, they didn't, she escaped from a nutjob vampire ...great game though. There were loads of great minis like 'OMG Zombies' and 'A Space Shooter for Two Bucks' to name just two more.
I watched Aldo stream Arcade Paradise earlier in the year. At first it seemed really boring. Then the arcade starting filling up and it got more interesting very fast.
Yes the model 1 Master System has a lovely aesthetic as consoles go. Beautifully made system. It is a shame Arcades are far and few in the UK, I always say if I ever win the lotto i'd open a Retro Arcade. Agreed Limited Run takes a year to ship things typically. They took the Piss with Streets of Rage 4 and Panzer Dragon remake...ugh. Axiom Verge is an idie game I love give that a go. Agree Nintendo are knobs for not having anything other than just the cart in the box.
All those games look a lot of fun and I've played none of them, This may have to change I think, Yeah limited run games But annoying, You order a game forget you've even ordered it by the time it comes And to be honest it's pretty easy to pick those games up cheaper used And at least that's why you get them within a few days, Hope you're having a wonderful weekend mate
That's a good selection. I think I will check out turnip boy. That sounds exactly like my type of game. Another Indie game that shouldn't be missed is Cross Code. You play as a girl named Lea. You can't speak because you are logged into a videogame. This treatment is supposed to help you regain your lost memories. In the early sections you get the ability to say 2 words "hi" and "Lea". You might be thinking that's not a whole lot but these few words are used to perfection very early. You meet a "roleplayer" that tries to act all heroic and accuses you of cheating and if that's not bad enough he refuses to call you by your name. I cannot tell you how much I hated this guy at this point. I don't wanna spoil to much of the story but it gets really heated. If you got 30-80hours and you like topdown action RPGs with twinstick shooter elements this is the game for you. PLAY IT NOW!!!
Thanks for this! I’ve been after more games on my Switch and I haven’t played any of these.
PLEASE DON’T QUIT
Sorry dude :(

I cant tell you how many times I've done that with a game
A nice selection of games, and Arcadd Paradise is most definitely going on my shopping list 😎👍
Hell...yes.
You'll love it 😀
The last game reminds me of a vanillaware game.
Great video, love the games you showed and now have a few more to get for my switch.
Thanks man 😀

It's a nice short game with plenty of fun and dumb bits 😉
You really do have a great depth of knowledge and editing skills. Firewatch was up there with Edith Finch for me.
Never had anyone say that to me before lol
@@segahead660 I watch a lot. People often miss the sheer amount of time it takes to make a polished video.

I already have all these games, or the ones I dont , I already looked at and decided I did not want. We both got some good tastes in games.
Some of my favorite games are indie games on my PS4
