Morten saying he isn’t a coffee addict is like saying that fox doesn’t sh1t in the woods!haha! I used to think I was a coffee addict but Morten is a whole other level ;)
In a rush to get into your blind and you gently move a caterpillar and put it somewhere safer, speaks more about the man than any well worded statement. In a blind on your own land with a cuckoo calling, watching a young fox, you my friend are living the dream, or at least my dream. And the very best thing of all, you are generous enough to share it with all of us watching. I was photographing a pair of foxes raiding greylag nests about a month ago, and it was the joy of seeing them and capturing that was most important. If I get a print out of it brilliant, if not I’ve got a record of a special moment. I also agree with you philosophies about feeding mammals, especially foxes and badgers, we must never domesticate them or make them dependent on us. I too like magpies, but I always salute them, which is a British superstition, in memory of my father. Every time I see one of your videos I think you can’t better that one and every video you prove me wrong. Thank you so much Morten, never think your work isn’t appreciated.
I am truly humbled after these friendly words from you Mark. You always write such nice things. Thank you a thousand times for sharing your positive thoughts and your great experience with the foxes. I am already looking forward to sharing more adventures with you 👍😊😉🙏
The world needs more people like you Morten - people who love and respect nature, and will treat even the smallest of creatures with kindness and care. So awesome.
@morten hilmer at 13:30 when you are trying to describe the photos and why you, Just Love Them... I LOVE the same exact two photos... ...its because you are capturing their personality and in the wild they are so alert, it is hard to find a carefree moment where you can they are enjoying every moment & you captured it!
Every picture captures nature at peace with its surroundings...free. I am learning so much from watching these videos. I have quite a nature sanctuary on my 20 acres in rural Missouri. Lots of birds and animals which has made me want to learn nature photography. I enjoy how you wait and watch and relish every minute. Thanks for another gorgeous video.
My eyes welled up at the end. Yea, it was simply that beautiful.. I've become so addicted to watching for new releases, I must check in here twice a day. Thank you once again Morten for all you are producing and sharing with us. Simply the very best choice for the background music and your style of story telling -- it's all just magic.
so gorgeous little youngster. it was amazing when the megpie hang out with her then she went to investigate and the bird was like okay that's close enough. the way she sits down you can tell how young she is. like a kitten. I love your videos so much. thank you.
such a beautiful thing , loved the music on the picture playback, quite moving and that picture where the little fox appears to be smelling the small tree while its eyes are closed is outstandingly reflective of the beauty in wildlife. Thanks again Morten.
As always, another great video about shooting nature and wildlife. I too was impressed with your kindness in moving a Caterpillar to another location rather than just brushing him off.
Even though I’ve seen this video years ago, today it was recommended in my feed. Loved seeing your older work once more, your storytelling was right on from the beginning. Thanks so much for all these years of sharing your work, travels and visions with your audience.
What a joy and a privilege to share these precious moments with you Morten. Thank you so much for sharing for those of us who cannot always see wildlife like this.😊😊
The way you moved that little caterpillar was so endearing. I love your vlogs in the forest. I could listen to you all day. The little fox was so sweet and I agree, all shots do not have to be 100% sharp, it is the moment that matters.
Morten Hilmer is taking pictures and shooting unreal things it's the beauty of the hat down in front of you. I love your photos and videos and your approach to your work. May you continue to prosper.
I always enjoy your photos, Morten, but I'm even more impressed by the joy that you show. With your idyllic forest setting, I kept expecting Pooh Bear to come strolling by with a honey pot on his head! Keep taking us along.
I watched this yesterday evening as I waited in my blind for our Wood Ducks to come close. It was really moving to see your enthusiasm and passion while I waited with equal anticipation for some of my favorite birds to arrive. We had a fox coming every morning earlier this summer, and every time I waited in the blind, he would never come, but I was lucky enough to get some decent photos of him right through the living room window. Thank you for sharing the wonder of nature and your ethical and caring way of photographing it with the world.
The music over the final photo's fully immersed me, just incredible. I felt like I was there. Morten you have truly captured a special moment, thank you.
What can be said after the beautiful words of Mr. Mark Harris, thanks for making us better people and thank you for taking the time to share these incredible images. Thanks
In every video your love for nature and photography leaves me in awe. You are the most inspiring person on RUclips for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
the interaction between the fox and bird was cool I know for you your heart was racing I'm sure the whole time it was there. What a special moment and thank you for sharing. I would have been snapping away taking pics and too busy to film like you did.
Really enjoyed this. It seems that the relationship between foxes and magpies is the same the world round. I spend a lot of time photographing foxes in Belfast and the interaction with the magpies is fascinating. The magpies bravely and loudly try to scare away the foxes and the foxes duly ignore them. When the foxes finally leave the magpies take all the credit and celebrate a job well done...
Morton, I sometimes feel like I am right there with you. Thank you for your unselfishness and willingness to share these moments you have captured. Here in the Midwest USA we have lots of red foxes, and I think they are maybe my favorite animals, too. We have a pair who have for the last three or four years raised a litter of kits near our little red barn. It is so much fun to simply sit back and watch them play and grow up.
Thanks Morton for this video, I know exactly what you mean about that feeling , right in between the fox and nature. Lucky for me I had that opportunity several times, and I also love foxes.
Thank you so much again Morten, that you do this really really dificult task to film and do wildlifephotography at the same time to share your wonderful experiences with us. It just sat there and smiled when the fox apperead and the pictures with the fox smelling the leafe and the one where he is walking back into the forest are just so amazing :)
Morten this is so amazing. Thanks for sharing these great moments with us and thanks for sending your book. It is also amazing. Hope you will share some additional moments in the other blind with us.
I always look forward to your videos because I know you will continually outdo the one before. Living the dream! Thanks Morten, for sharing your adventures.
Absolutely stunning Morten, what a moment captured beautifully. It's a shame more people don't love these animals in the UK, many here see foxes & corvids as vermin. It drives me crazy, how can you not admire animals that are so clever and adaptable, this is what brings them success. Looking forward to your next film.
Hi Morten, great photo of the Fox smelling the leaf. He had a look of contentment on his face much like most of your expressions when filming him. Sharp, portrait-like shots are great but shots like this one show more what the animal was feeling. Another great video.
Morten, the fox is incredible - so awesome. It motivates me to take more pictures. We have an urban fox that comes and sleeps in our strawberry patch and when it is sunny uses the bottle brush bush to sleep under. I too am captivated by foxes and have pictures of our fox on the wall. Keep inspiring us.
Another fantastic video!! The image of the fox sniffing the leaves is just perfect pease and tranquility👏👏👏👏. I also agree with you about feeding the animals there are a lot of commercial hides here in Spain now charging from 150euro a shoot over feeding the birds/animals, all this is good until they stop there business and the food stops with them!!!
My favorite shot is the one with the fox sniffing the small shrub.....totally natural, eyes closed focusing on the smell. I also agree with your thoughts on maybe not producing the sharpest picture but instead enjoying the experience of just being there and observing. Some of the best experiences are not captured by the camera but by your memory.
watching your video from not so remote camping site. perfect monents. birds start chirping very early in the morning but so hard to find or see them. really appreciate what you are sharing!
Such inspiring and soothing vlogs about wildlife photography.... There are moments in your video's that I felt like being there as well. I love it Morten !!!
Love those images of the foxes, so full of wonder and character. I remember rescuing a wounded fox cub many years ago on Exmoor, it’s such a privilege to be so close to wild animals. You don’t need to go on safaris to value, respect and enjoy nature. You have a great channel and your passion shines through.
Wonderful video again Morten. I was wondering whether there is any one person you would say got you interested in wildlife. For me it was my Mum, who used to take us on long walks through the forest as kids looking for wildlife (particularly remember a badger sett we used to pass regularly). I think the joy these people give you throughout life at even the very smallest creatures (like a gate crashing caterpillar) is so special. Now you are doing just that job for a whole new generation who watch your videos. Thank you for all the pleasure they give us!
Awesome video yet again Morten, looks so peaceful and with the added sound of the cookoo in the background makes it the perfect backing tune for a morning session.😀
Dear Morton, you set up a very good channel. I don‘t know how I found it, but I‘m always happy to find a new video from you when it is online... You‘re one of the very good vloggers, because you take us so close to the wildlife here in „middle/northern-Europe“. It´s so good to see and to learn from your methods for watching and photographing our wild animals here. Thanks for all your interesting episodes, with close to the nature I like...
It's always a good time for a cup of coffee! It is amazing how even holding the vlogging camera you're able to make amazing images. I'll say it again, what a great piece of property you have. I had started to TRY to write about your interaction with the caterpillar, but I caught Mark Harris' comment. He said it 10x better than I could. I think it is your humility and humanity and not just your ability that draws me to your channel. It's always a pleasure. Thanks for sharing Morten!
Very inspirational, makes me want to do more with my photography. Videos like this are special, please film more videos like this. We all can learn from it. Awesome!
Love your work Morten just received your book for a present from my other half and I must say I'm over the moon with it, Packed full with fantastic images that give me inspiration and make me want to get out in nature and take photos thank you
Morten, superb vlog and when you shared the video and Images at the end, just brilliant. Those eyes on the little fellow were just Incredible, your style is unique and choice of music is 100% thank you for sharing.
Morten your enthusiasm should be an inspiration for all of us. I smiled as you were competing with the cuckoo for my attention:) One of the things i miss hearing since moving to Canada, keep up the great work my fiend!!
I know this is a older video but that doesn't change the fact that it's awesome. Like you, Morten, it seems that every time I am in the blind and not paying attention or in the middle of getting set up, that's when it seems like the wildlife shows up. I don't know how they do it. One minute nothing is there, next minute, out of nowhere something is there. Then I'm scrambling trying to get the shot, lol. Keep up the good work 👍👍.
Like literally watching this video holding my fox plush toy and having my coffee was quite an experience. I love magpies too... I have baby magpies now visiting every morning, so smart. I've stumbled upon foxes when dark but never close enough for a decent photo. I love their eyes so much. I cried a little with the video footage and the music at the end. I wish I could find foxes to use them as footage for the music videos... I don't lose hope though, I know one day we're going to cross paths with a little red haired lovely one and it's gonna be "awesome" like you say... Thanks for sharing your own moments of "connection"
Thank you very much, I feel also very bound to Nature and I hope that gets into my work as well. Your footage is amazing... I'm proud enough to have bee able to include some "encounters" too :). Your videos always make me prepare a hot cup of coffee! :)
wildlife photographer moments full of passion and palpable suspense, I`m sweating only while watching this video, thanks a lot for sharing these awesome moments :) 21:26 I love this photo, what a wonderful moment, so beautiful
I love foxes too, my wife and I have just been looking at trail camera videos of vixen and two cubs in our back garden, here in Lancashire, UK, overnight, very rare to see them in daylight, though. Great video, as always, Morten, there were times I was almost shouting at you to stop vlogging and take a picture! You did get some wonderful video and pictures of the fox cub, so I forgive you! :-) Thanks for sharing your excitement, too.
Your videos are amazing, its easy to tell that you love what you do. Foxes are by far the coolest animals around. Looking forward to more amazing videos in the future.
Brilliant video Morten. Like you foxes are one of my favourites and I was lucky enough to capture some shots for a video I took a few weeks ago. Love the storytelling in you videos, makes me stay right through to the end.
What a great video, well done Morten. Given me the inspiration to look in my area. I live in Australia and pretty sure we have european red foxes lurking !!! For what it’s worth, I actually like the motion blur of the fox sniffing, adds to the photo.
I have this blind and I love it, although in my part of the US the morning temps are 85+ F so sitting in the blind is HOT this time of year. We have quite a few foxes in the area where I live, but because of the population of people, they are a bit less skittish than the ones in your woods. Another excellent video!
"I am not a coffee addict. it´s just that I really really like it." that made my day
Morten saying he isn’t a coffee addict is like saying that fox doesn’t sh1t in the woods!haha! I used to think I was a coffee addict but Morten is a whole other level ;)
Coffee is for When your home or a Diner ! Animals have great sense of Smell !

Unbelievable!!! Good advice about feeding. I like the bird! That is the money shot. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Love the shot of the fox walking away. Excellent!
In every video your love for nature and photography leaves me in awe. You are the most inspiring person on RUclips for sure.

That awesome compliment just made my evening a bit better 😊 thank you so much
Love that shot of the Fox looking at you between the trees.
the interaction between the fox and bird was cool I know for you your heart was racing I'm sure the whole time it was there. What a special moment and thank you for sharing. I would have been snapping away taking pics and too busy to film like you did.
WOW.....that little guy is just beautiful.

Very inspiring, Morten. And very educational. I learn a lot watching how careful and respectful you are towards wildlife. Thank you for sharing!

Just Wow. I enjoy every single of videos and i really share your excitement in this moments.
That's one of my favorite things about his videos - how genuinely excited he gets... and how genuine he is in general.

Brilliant video Morten. Like you foxes are one of my favourites and I was lucky enough to capture some shots for a video I took a few weeks ago. Love the storytelling in you videos, makes me stay right through to the end.
Morten, this was amazing. Again premium contents. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow, another special experience, thank you for sharing it with us. Fox and a magpie, perfect :D
