Baby monkeys also scratch when they're nervous. If you'll notice, almost all of them start scratching when the cameraman comes close.

Туи, Вы умница, прислушиваетесь к просьбам подписчиков. Я вчера написала, что желательно купить подушку "банан", она удобная,так Вы её приобрели и соску Тиночке, теперь она и пальчик в ротик не кладёт. Она должна уметь плавать, надо её направить, макашата любят плавать.

Tina definitely scratches too much, it's obvious that something is irritating her. But sharp nails will scratch her skin and it will become infected again. Areas covered by a diaper should always be washed with soap and then rinsed thoroughly before putting on a new clean diaper. But you shouldn't bathe your monkey's head and fur three times a day, once a day is enough to prevent it from drying out too much. Dry skin under the fur is very itchy.

Mom it is natural for monkey's to scratch when they are itchy. But Tina is scratching herself a lot. I think the soap you wash her with is too strong and dries her little skin. Please buy the baby soap for her. Tina is SO relaxed and comfortable with caretaker Mom.
She is so adorable. Her skin looks healthy, she's bright and alert, just ask Vet if they have a soap they can recommend, or use the medicine leaves, or a cream that the Dr may recommend. I am sure there is something. I doubt and allergy. but she appears happy and content, she's grown, and loves her Mom. You are doing a great job. She is so adorable.
Do they make soap for monkeys? I doubt it since wild monkeys don't need it and they are not meant to be pets.

Bathing Tina 2 or 3 times a day is causing the problem of her scratching all the time. The excessive bathing is drying out her skin. Please only once a day and with a very mild soap like baby shampoo. Also please be sure soap is rinsed out completely. 😊
Thuy, maybe try oil to rub on her skin after a bath to hydrate her skin to see if that will help stop her from scratching all the time. There are other monkey owners who do. Just a suggestion. Thanks. 🩷🩷
