    The wonderful thing about what Martin Taylor teaches and how he helps aspiring guitarists in comparison to so many others is the simplicity. It is like someone trying to explain to you how to break into the King's castle with complicated explanations and arcane teachings. Martin walks up and just hands you the keys to the Kingdom - "Here you go....."

    inversions, invert the note to a different octave

    Paul McCartney's Blackbird has 10ths. It's like a 10ths study...

      That is the first song I always think of and its also a great way of using that song as a way of teaching newbies.
