- Huge thanks to Phiefer3 (Hope I pronounced that correctly!) for explaining this way to make Ordeals 3 & 4 simpler. I found these an absolute pain to solve the standard way until I was told about these shortcuts, so I hope the visualisation of it helps make it a bit easier for you too!
As many commenters have mentioned, there is an alternate way to solve Purgation 4 that you may find even easier.
1. Stand between the squiggles (Ms)
2. Go to the squiggle that the arrows are pointing towards.
Take a look here for a visual idea of what to look for: imgur.com/a/YDbxaml
Thank you for updating with the video, I saw the comment on your original video but my small brain couldnt comprehend without a visual guide.
Neat, I didn't expect you to make a video out of my post. I will say that although I figured out the tip for ordeal3, I learned the ordeal4 tip from someone in partyfinder, though unfortunately I don't recall their name
Ya read my mind Hector, cause this is the only part of the fight I fail on. Ty Ty
For purgation 6, there’s also a shortcut where you just find the triangle and go one slice away from the side that isn’t where the square is
Hey! I figured out an easier way to do Purgation 4; identify where the two zig-zag lines are, go into the center of them, and follow the arrow to after where the next line is (which will be the zig-zag line in the direction of the arrow from the center line). That slice will always be the safe zone.
Not purgation 3/4, but purgation 6 has always tripped me up until I found out that you can pick 1 line (either right or left) to follow and then decide based on that:
Following right line - square: left 2 slices, triangle: right 1 slice
Following left line - square: right 2 slices, triangle left 1 slice
Are those spaces facing the boss standing on the square/triangle? Or as if you are running along the line itself then adjusting left or or right facing the edge?
@@keepmeonpins This would be running left or right facing the shape! (left CCW, right CW)
@@icarusquack TY I'll give it a go!
The first Purgation is pretty easy so it's not very worrying but the 2nd here will save a lot of trouble.
4 has an even easier strat:
Look for the one of the two hook/Corner pieces in the middle that will NOT connect after the rotation, the piece is starts on is always the savezone
Yeah, i heard about it on Rin stream and this made it so easy
tyvm for the update and I took the time to thank the other fellow on your OG vid. cheers!
When I was doing 4 yesterday for my clear, I realized it on my own..
..but backwards. So I would watch where the squiggle was, and go to the "left" slice if I was facing the same direction of it.
I remember the safe spot from 4 as the slice from the "cat ear that the furthest in the sense of the rotation" :p
@HectorHectorson @0.59 there is an easier way to read this, look for the bent line that the "rotation arrow" is pointing at. Move to that bent lines slice.
EDIT: trying to read both can confuse people when all you have to look for is the bent line
The squiggle is an M, if you hide above and to the edge of the M in the direction the arrow points to its much easier than trying to work out even straight lines. I tried to link an image but i think its auto deleting.
I’ll have to give this a try next time i’m doing the fight. Thanks for the tip!
This is what my hyper confused peanut brain was waiting for. thanks!
Helo Hector, thanks a lot for these guydies they are always great. I got a questions though maybe you can help there for the Sweepign immolation. Why is it that pf prefer doing the premade partner and not the one you suggested ( cw side step, then run) Do you have an Idea why its considered better with premade partners? i feel it involves more movement than your suggestion.
In any case, thanks for the guide videos!
My guess would be that some people in PF find static spots easier to find their spot, though I personally have stuck with the CW+oppo strat, as I find it easier to solve and enjoy the 50/50 chance that I'm already in my slice.
@@HectorHectorson thanks for the explanation. and i agree with cw+oppo, sadly i had some groups where people just straight up refused it and are banking on the fixed partner strat xD
Kevin! Great video as always 😂
Doing gods work
For the 4th the safe is under the opposite bended line from the bended line that will be activated when rotate
I just follow the dorito
Purge 4 is the easiest. Look for cat ears and follow which ear the arrow is pointing to
What about 5 and 6?
