I’m a big believer in the supremacy of Australian Rules Football, it’s a very freestyle, high scoring sport which requires a great deal of skill and athletic qualities and teams consist of players who are greatly unique to each other, it greatly reflects Australian culture, tough but laid back, Melbourne is the heartland of the sport and sees one of the highest live audiences in the world which is the Grand Final, this year apparently, Collingwood saw the second average live audience at their games in the world only behind Borussia Dortmund I’d say it’s more of a combination of Gaelic Football and Rugby Union with wider scoring areas and played on a cricket field, the sport was invented to keep cricket players fit during the winter as cricket’s a summer sport which explains the large field, but every American I have encountered has spoken affirmatively towards the sport and for good measure, it’s very enthralling

AFL once was a game played by men. These days it's played by little girls who love to do trick shot goals all the time. The game has gone the same way as the ANZAC spirit.
There called mellees. You will see little jumper punches Too many umpires on the field these days. Hard too get a few punches in and with out the cameras catching you

Early games are better for fights before rules came in to protect from excessive hip and shoulder charges. Any games pre 90s after 2000s new rules came in. . Seek out the song, Up there Gazaly. A true footy legend. Old school.
