Talk about cluelessness, wickedness, and bias! Cattle herding is a private business. When last did you see a poultry farmer crying foul about the cost of feeds? When will we have the Ministry of Spareparts, Ministry of Agbado, Ministry of Pigs, and Ministry of Cassava?! APC-led government is yet to solve the issues in the oil sector, the national refineries are not working, and external and internal debt continue to increase! This is a government without any concrete plan. Tinubu is leading this country on a pay-as-you-go plan!

Congratulations Rufai! Great comments! 1/ The US has 15 cabinet level ministries. 2/ In the US the president cannot create a new ministry. A proposal has to be introduced in the House of Representatives. Then there is a debate. The whole process can take months so that they know that if they create a new ministry it is because it is really needed. Did you know that between 1981 and 1984, France had a ministry for "free time" (ministère du Temps Libre). In France the president has the power to create ridiculous institutions...

If creation of a Ministry is not a solution because of the failure of the existing Ministry, then every Ministry in Nigeria becomes needles, hence requiring scrapping. We must not be irrational in our judgements.

Livestock development is already within the agric ministry. This wont address the farmer/ herder crisis, which can be tackled by a workable policy backed by laws. Its just going to ballon further, the already high cost of governance. Further, if this is to placate northern pastoralists, southerners in the piggery enterprise, also within the Livestock umbrella, would be taken care off, in the new ministry. This signals the decimation of the agric ministry and rename to ministry of agronomy,😅

I am a staunch supporter of Tinubu, and my loyalty remains unwavering. However, I have a concern : Why do we need a separate Ministry of Livestock? Wouldn't it be more efficient to have a Directorate of Livestock under the Ministry of Agriculture, streamlining resources and efforts?
Who cares you're supporter of Tinubu and your loyalty to him, just make your point and you actually made a point about the issue on ground, forget sycophancy!
Tinubu is executing the Northern agenda so that they don't boot him out. Livestock production is a private business in Nigeria.
Brother Rufai , you are fantastically doing fine and prosecuting the art of ignorance in leadership . However, I am encouraging you to look beyond over bloating of the governance. Tinubu caved in by not allowing total ban of open grazing and killing of farmers and preventing real growth of agriculture. What we can advocate for is to allow the new ministry to come up with compedium of cow owners and their deep throat of sponsorship and where theit weapons are really coming from .In addition , instead of allowing continuous thievery of government money , we need to encourage victims of herders killings to organize and numerically documents those who had been killed , secure good lawyers accross the Nation to sue and demand for compensations from the ministry of livestocks. Tinubu can not allow total north to gang against him from securing his second term , come 2027. I am saying all these for us to look beyond Tinubu present term of office, if you know what I mean.
