In this video I help my Grandfather make me an anorak jacket for $50 which we had seen online for over $300.
He spent his whole life as a carpenter so this was a new project for the both of us.
Maybe we’ll get to do some woodworking in a future video. Thanks for watching!

Ah, to have a grandpa. So good to see you two working together on a sweet jacket.
How were your parents conceived?
Both grandfathers passed away while I was still under 3 years old.@@weirderdolphin9902
Wow a wonderful memory with your grandpa and a jacket to love and cherish always.I am 72 and never had a grandpa. By the time I was born they were already gone from this world. Cherish him u are so fortunate.
The cool thing is that will probably last 100 years
I’m impressed! Love that it was grandpa showing you how to construct the jacket. Made me laugh that grandma was seen fixing the little problem! As a long time seamstress, bobbins and tension drive me crazy and is the sole reason for my “sewing anxiety.” lol (I’m 70)
Great Video! i wish we all had a chance to work on a project that our fathers and grandfathers were passionate about
Legendary grandpa
Amazing. I wish I had a video of some of the projects I did with my grandad. He was a very handy man. Much like yours.
Cherish your grandparents everyone. You'll miss them when they're gone. I do. Even when they went a bit senile. At least they were around.
Grandpa has some skills. Awesome work. Great product. That thing will last for life. Just never ever ever dry it in a heated dryer.
That was awesome! So nice to see a younger generation appreciating the elder, this is a very cool project!!😊
Your Grandpa has a hidden talent, looks like. He could do some tailoring as a side hustle. Beautiful Anorak. Josh, you picked up another skill... sewing. It will pay off later on down the road, believe me! Well done!!!
Love your channel dude and happy to see the variety in content. Good to see where you get it from
Thanks Emma, I’m glad you like it
NO wonder youre such a good man.... Youre Grandpa is a legend youre very lucky
Great video and that jacket will be a reminder of the quality time you spent making it with your grandfather. So cool
Such a special gift of being with your grandparents. Nice job Gentlemen and Grammie ❤
Sir
I love to see you and this young man spending time together and teaching him a skill that He can always remember you bye and cherish the time spent with you.
God bless you both and thank you for sharing your story.
That was so cool. I never got to make a jacket with my Gpa but I use to ride on the tractor with him when he was farming potatoes and he taught me how to fish. I'm 60 years old now and hoping for grand kids of my own❤️
Incredible craftsmanship. So sweet to see memories made!
Thanks for sharing.
My wife is using the same pattern for my anorak!
How cool, treasure these moments with your pop 🙏
What a great heirloom!
That was a great video!!! Treasure the time you have with your grandparents. You’re videos are very well thought out. Keep ‘em coming there’s so much we can all learn from one another. You rock!
Lucky man get as much knowledge as you can and learn and retain those skills. I wish I paid and spent more time with my grandparents. I just paid attention to me selfishly getting outta rural America. Now all I was is to go back to the simple life without many of the skills and no one left to teach me them.
This video is a perfect example of the great things you can learn on utube. You can learn how to do anything.
Awesome bonding and very nice hoodie. Thank you for sharing.
5:49 awesome. Job. I love it and learning to hem sew and spent time. I miss my parents

Nicely done, and a great project to do with family or friends :)
I have a couple of Swanndri's and Swedish army snow smocks and I often look at some of my wool blankets and wonder about making my own.
It's on the to-do list... :)
Thanks for sharing !
Better than fantastic you got to work with your grandpa on some thing that will hopefully last you the rest of your life. This is the second video of yours that I’ve watched and I am enjoying every one of them.❤️🇺🇸
You have a nice Granddad. Sadly, my Granddads are dead or have alsheimer
I’m sorry to hear that Bela
@@Deadmen. Thank you
Papa rizz
Hey! I am going to work on the same project. What size did you do? For sizing did you go up a size? Did you find that the length of the Anorak was adequate? or do you wish it had more? Let me know. Thanks
Oh great! We used the 44 size on the pattern. I’m about 5’11”175lbs and it fit me perfectly with a little extra room in case I wanted another jacket underneath. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!
Awesome jacket, how much did u spend on materials?
Thanks! About $50
@@Deadmen. not bad at all
🤍❤️💜🧡💙💛💚
That's a parka. An anorak is just a bourgeoisie parka from the 20's. But parka's have been worn for hundreds of years and were invented in England.
❤ good job guys that was awesome I don't think I've had the patience to do that
