For those wondering, Forge is an application used for both developing and installing mods for Minecraft. Which yeah, would understandably be banned for speedruns. Except for the fact that Forge is basically just a mod loader, and can just be . . . idly there in the background. And yeah, there are people who get like, cheat mods, but uh, those guys are hacks. Create is what Chads get. But anyways, should it really be against the rules to have Forge on? I mean, like I said, I prefer the Create mod, and that thing is dope. So imagine honest to god forgetting to turn off forge, but your mods are off. You try to get on a leaderboard, even provide footage, and your ass gets clapped for leaving the modding API on. Like bro, who DOESN'T mod their Minecraft in their spare time?
Yeah, I understand, modifying the game IS worthy of disqualification in a speedrun. But does having the API simply idling count as a modification? Is it solid proof that a mod is on? Then you have to consider that there are methods of cheating that don't utilize Forge that still get caught, or sometimes slip past observers. Not for long, but long enough to still set a precedent. You don't need Forge to fake a speedrun. Most people probably just use it for Create, because that's like the coolest mod out there right now. Who WOULDN'T forget to turn off the Forge after spending a sleepless night making a cock with fully functional erection action in Create? Bro, you wouldn't catch me turning that shit off just to get on a leaderboard, I'll just go back to building cock machines.
