Bandwagon hate is a major issue these days, seems like a lot of ppl can’t come to their own opinions for whatever reason
This game is so underrated. Lots of content, fun as hell...not as tedious as a lot of other open world games.

couldn’t agree more, it’s just a bunch of ghost of tsushima meat munchers, someone literally said that the side quests in rotr were too complex and ghost was way more inviting
The side by side comparison to Elden Ring...Nicely done! I was literally thinking the same thing when I started playing...The real game begins when you beat the story and unlock Midnight difficulty...Sooooo good!
Gameplay is king I always say. Team Ninja is the best at combat and the Nioh games are still the greatest ARPGs of all time. People talk about From Software games but they ain't got nothing on Team Ninja. FromSoft combat just doesn’t compare and feels poor and too simple in comparison which it is. Naturally I didnt trust the critic reviews for Rise since all the negative ones were just crying about the graphics. Player reviews though are positive, all praising the actual gameplay which is the most important part of a game like this.
Totally agree with you. Ronin is my goty 2024 atm and still can't believe the reviews it got. Hope on the long period many other players can enjoy Ronin.

DD2 ended up being a disaster though lol.

Couldn't care less about graphics. The gameplay is incredibly fun and engaging. I enjoyed it way more than I ever did Sekiro.

They gotta iron out a couple things like the graphics and the horse but overall it entertained me.

This game is lovely.
Starfield was legendary but youtubers would have you thinking it was trash. Its literally Bethesdas best game up there with Skyrim. Games get hated on for wierd reasons, Starfield because ps5 owners couldnt play it. This because of graphics and riding animations. Some people just want to watch the world burn. Play whatever you want and have fun.
Cap, starfield is boring as hell.
It like the Oscar’s bait movies, at this point it’s clear that certain things checkmark the list of “good” for reviews and developer know this.
The game is far from incredible , but it’s not majorly worse then melee adventure games/open world games then get review ripping their pants with a stiffy.

I more or less agree with the poll results. Over the years, I've learned that reviews can only give an idea of what to expect and I, as a gamer, have to be aware of what types of games that I enjoy and use that as a measure of whatever it is that the reviews had to say. There was a time when I would only buy the most highly-rated games which would lead to several cases of being underwhelmed at technically well-executed games with high production budgets. Or on the other hand, some games that got mixed or middling scores ended up being some of my favorites of all time. They'd be grossly underrated or would only get some appreciation YEARS after release when the dev studio has long since gone under.
man i 10000% Agree thats y even if pepole say its trash i still get it cuz i wanna know myself if its trash and cuz i played so many games that reviewers said was terrible and i love them and some even make there decision cuz there not good at the game and couldn't enjoy it to its max causing them to go on yt and bash the game and now people like to hate js to be apart of the trend

I'm a reviewer and I've never seen a PR team or a studio pay for a good review.
I get that people disagree with some big reviewers sometimes. I do, too. Quite frequently, to be honest.
That said, I gave Rise of the Ronin a 9/10 and this is what I had to say about it:
"With a clear identity, a charming setting, and one of the best combat systems out there, Rise of Ronin is indeed Team Ninja’s best Action RPG so far."
i do think souls fans AND ghosts fans just dogpiled this one its one of my favorites
I played it because of the ps3 remarks, so any time a game gets compared to a ps3 or ps2 game I automatically think its gotta be entertaining in some way now graphics aren't everything and retro games prove that

For the most part its the price that turns me off from it, gameplay looks tight but physics looks stiff and a lot of pop ins and I heard some fps drops? To be priced at premium it needs to be polished atleast for me, then Stellar Blade came out, with what Ronin got but with better graphics and physics gameplay and visual wise
I stopped watching IGN reviews like 10 years ago either ACG sometimes or I watch about a 1 hour of gameplay to make my final decision.
Ps3 graphics aside, this game got good combat and fun world building

Opinions are like a-holes. Everybody got one. I think Nioh 2 is better but Rise of the Ronin is still a great game.

The game was made by team ninja which automatically makes it a great game.
the game is fun but it’s trying to do too much. TeamNinja trying to be like FROMsoft but back in the day FromSoftware was looking up to TeamNinja! this for me ,someone who loves TeamNinja games, can tell based on this drop that they don’t know what direction to go in since the GOAT left the company. still a good game tho FOR REAL! day 1 hate is too loud now a days for sure. great video man I totally agree.
Team Ninja is already better than From Software though. The combat is better. So I don't think they're trying to be like them otherwise they would make simple combat and worlds where the story is told through items not characters.

I’m going to be honest, looking at your gameplay right now, I agree with those graphics remarks. This does look last gen. 🤷🏾♂️ It might be fun for you, but I don’t think all of those criticisms are baseless.
Also Elden Ring is more sci-fi? There’s not a hint of science fiction in Elden Ring. There are no spaceships, hovercrafts, laser guns, robots or cyborgs or anything remotely like Sci-Fi. If anything Elden Ring is hard dark fantasy. Probably the most opposite end of sci-if you can get.

Also you used Limgrave one of the most visually dull places in Elden Ring to make your comparison. Why not any of the actual visually dynamic areas like Caelid, Altus Plateau, or the Lake of Rot. Because there is a lot more to ER than Limgrave the starter area.
@brandonjones5879 whatttttt, limgrave is beautiful. the scenery in limgrave is amazing , its up there with academy of raya lucaria which is the best place imo

I'm so glad you used Rusty Ring as an exampe. People praise that game like its God and i think its the most overrated game ever. Personally, im loving Rise of the Ronin and im happy with my purchase.

reviews are only ONE persons opinion, i have never takien a review and decided weather i should buy the game or not, i watch videos of gameplay and decide for myself if i'll like it or not, take watchdogs legion it got hammered by lots of youtubers but i liked it and still play it today.
I think youtubers shouldn't give a game a score instead just tell us a bit about the game whats involve etc,etc, and let us decide.

@@SirKalid one thing to enjoy a game another to suggest that other people are wrong with there opinion. Rise of the ronin factually has an outdated 2000s ubisoft open world riddled with tons of both performance and graphical issues despite costing 70 dollars. Main selling point is the combat. I’ll still likely get it once it’s 20 dollars because I find the time period extremely fascinating
I play on ps5 and haven’t experienced any issues of sort maybe a PC issue & its the same mechanics as nioh which was fun too and many people enjoyed
@@SirKalid the game isn’t out on pc..? And the combat isn’t the same as nioh actually I’ve heard from nioh vets that it’s much worse than nioh 2.
@Entertainment-ev6ob i’ve played both nioh 2 and rise of the ronin they have similarities in combat from different stances etc, I see no real difference
