- Luftgekühlt 6 was a crazy #Porsche event on the Universal Studios backlot. Here is 30 minutes of straight Porsche greatness. Inserted at times with photos I had taken during the event as well. I kept this video long to show you what this event is like, and how hard it is to photograph an event like this with 6,000 plus people in attendance. Very well edited, very well shot, and Superior MUSIC selections
What a display of them ! 👍
Fantastic video. Thanks so much for uploading this. I wish I lived in sunny California :-)
I wish the video didn't have any music, too hipster. Great imagines, though.
thank you for this, great memories !! @gt3point2
Hey Brent, what’s the name of the track you start at 4:26 and repeat a couple times? Love it! Also, love the video...thanks for sharing.
Thanks! The song is Taste the Sun by Particle house. It is over on Epidemic Sound. For whatever reason, quite a few videos i have watched today all were using that same track as well.
It was hard as hell shooting around all the spectators and in the unlighted dark sound stage building with the legendary Porsche race cars . It would be nice if they gave media early or late access after the spectators are gone. I gustimated 5,000 spectators. Might be nice to expand it to 2 days... but I realize many owners drive their display cars to the show and that would proive difficult.
Maybe longer hours into the evening, with 2 separate Ticker Entry Times at 10am and 3pm, with a smaller group of 3,000 spectaotors per time slot? - fellow photographer
I will say this, this goes to show that the automotive scene is not dying that's for sure. Even with a media pass they were let in at 8am with the first set of ticket entry times. That alone makes it hard for any clear shot, let alone a clear shot for video too. I would agree on the times that you suggested but I think it might have been super hard to get an all day setup on the backlot for sure. Also going on your other reply, I mainly wanted to show an overview of everything at the show / what it was actually like walking around the place with the amount of people there.
Beautifully shot . Less music use your voice and face gives the vid personality. Again not a fan of the loud music but some enjoy it. Just walk sround and tdlk instead
I couldn’t watch any longer, got 1/2 way through.....I’m sorry but as a Porsche enthusiast, you walked past some of the more significant cars, a million dollar 959...with hardly a glance....barely looked at the 550 spyder and the exhibit with Rod Emery? Dude....please if you go next year, take a Porsche person with you...I hate to be too critical ...it’s nice that you took the time and energy to go and film, and then post it....but it’s about the cars!
I am a Porsche enthusiast as well. I wanted to show the entire event, the million dollar 959 and the 550 were going to get all the attention anyways from other outlets. How about the cars that "no one" cares about? As an automotive photographer, there are too many times where people will come out and say "why wasn't my car shot or in a video?" Well this gives a person that wasn't at the event an overall view of the show. There will be plenty of other videos and photos of your million dollar vehicles.
Yes, not really a great video. Missed many of the better cars and low production values.
lose the soundtrack please
