Plus Yoshi game using motion and a new Zelda, Two Kirby games and two fire emblem games and DK King of swing. Also a Starfox clone/ripoff called: StarX. What a name😂
@stevesteve0521 Yes, but Nintendo first party was mostly remakes and ports like: Mario,Pokémon,Wario,Zelda,Dk,Yoshi,Kirby,Metroid games. not too much original game, only one or maybe two for all of them. Excluding Mario and pokemon games, of course. Maybe the DS and 3DS get more by one or two original games, but they keep porting old games, The Switch keeps getting ports way more these days, maybe because it is in the end of its lifespan.
For Mario Bros. being available on every Mario Advance cartridges, I’m nearly certain the idea was to allow people who own different games in the series to play that game together. They could have done the same thing with Four Swords for every GBA Zelda game.
9:37 dude why are you phrasing this like as if you can't even save on the original Super Mario World for snes? Have you never played that game? You don't have to play the entire game in one sitting. You've always been able to save in Super Mario world. I'm sorry but you have to fix that that is just holy crap how can I be the only person who has pointed out such a glaring flaw in your video? You've always been able to save in Super Mario World
Super Circuit was definitely my jam for the GBA! That version of Super Mario World is also my favourite. I guess Game and Watch Gallery 4 doesn't count as a Mario game, though it does star Mario characters so I guess it's up to me to give it a shoutout. Imagine getting Mario Pinball when all your friends are playing Super Mario 64 DS...
5:16 I beg to differ on this one. Hilariously when I used to work the night shift at Taco Bell in the early 2010s, I had a supervisor who had not only Mario Kart DS but he also had Mario Kart 7 which was the first time I really played that game cuz surprisingly I never owned that game, but my co-workers and I love playing Mario Kart DS and also Mario Kart 7, but I kid you not one of my other supervisors there who I don't think it's even that many years older than me was playing Mario Kart 7 so badly that she was driving backwards and didn't even know that she was doing it
Mario Party Advance, Mario Golf: Advance Tour, Mario Pinball Land, and Mario Tennis: Power Tour will come to Nintendo Switch Online as part of Super Mario's 40th anniversary.
Mario vs Donkey Kong was more designed as kind of a sequel to Donkey Kong on the Game Boy which is far more different from the usual version. After you go through the arcade game in that version, it becomes more of a puzzle platformer. Just like Mario v Donkey Kong.
Just started watching your videos and love how real and genuine your content is for the average video game player! Your videos are so enjoyable to listen to and brightened up some long days for me recently so thanks haha!
Honestly I kinda like the fact they added the Mario Bros arcade game to all 4 titles, because if someone didn't have the same Mario Advance game as their friend, they could still play together.

Mario Advance=Super Mario Bros 2 Mario Advance 2=Super Mario World Mario Advance 3=Yoshi's Island Mario Advance 4=Super Mario Bros 3 The order makes no sense, Why not start with Yoshi's Island then Mario Bros OG since 2 was just a dream and then Super Mario 3 and end off the advance series with Mario World?!
@@StrawHatMidas I don't either Oh and everyone knows this but they all only have one side game Why not have one of them be Mario Bros 1 and the other two be the land games? Those would have made the collection better OR better yet one of them could have been the lost levels since at the time Allstars was the first time American gamers got to play Lost Levels even though I hate that game
The original Mario Advance was supposed to be Super Mario Bros Deluxe 2. The reason why Advance 2 was World could be in order to showoff that Snes games could be remade on the gba. If you think about it, only Super Mario Bros 3 is out of order.
I also owned all 4 Super Mario Advance game and also didn't know why we got OG Mario Bros 4 time, until I learned recently you could pay it with visa link cable with ANY 2 of the 4 games. It didn't have to be the same 2. If your friend had a different game then you, or didn't have any and you had 2 of the games, you could pay Mario Bros together. It would be nice if this was more clear. I had no idea for the past 20 years, and never played it via link cable because my friends didn't have the games.
I notice you skipped the Donkey Kong series. Aside from Mario vs. Donkey Kong, I think the only other DK content on the Game Boy Advance were remakes of the first three DKC games. It ain't that big of a deal though; I respect your choice not to talk about 'em. Having lived through the GBA era...yeah, it was an odd time. I enjoy all four SMA remakes, the first WarioWare, and Mario Kart, but every other game was just kinda there in my unprofessional opinion. Folks argue that Mario still had semblance of weird creativity in the GBA era; Koopatrols are enemies in Pinball Land while Mario Party offered nice Toad designs. Those are cool, admittedly, but isn't enough to get me into either game. Frankly, I feel like people hype up the Game Boy Advance since its home console counterpart is the GameCube, considered the golden age of Mario. That said, the Super Mario Advance series are some _baller_ remakes. The second one is my personal favorite Mario game on the GBA. Super Circuit, while not my favorite Mario Kart, is still a fun time for what it is. Nice video.
Still makes me sad to this day that dedicated handhelds are a thing of the past. Mobile phones have way more processing power. Yet most games developed for them are soulless cash grabs filled with microtransactions. Thankfully there's thousands of official retro handheld games, plus rom hacks. To keep us busy for years.🌟
I always hoped there would be a SMA 5 with the original SMB and Lost Levels in the All-Stars style. With the GBC version, there would have been three versions of SMB1 playable on the GBA. I actually don’t mind the Classic NES version. Since it is a direct port of the NES game, famous glitches like the minus world do work in it.
I asked my dad for Super Mario Advance 3 Yoshi's Island, my dad gave me Super Mario Advance 4 Super Mario Bros. 3... Y'know, I was still happy, and still played the heck out of it, but those titles definitely didn't help my dad lol
I remember my lil bro had Mario superstar saga and I had the Mario party advance for Christmas when we were kids Nd I had yoshi island nd man that was my fav one beat that shit like 10 times out of
I think Super Mario World on the GBA is the definitive version in the sense that it keeps track of the dragon coins and the secret exits, so it fully turns the game into a collectathon. It's held back by the screen cutoff but I can deal with it.
How many of Mario titles (mainline & Spinoff) for GB, GBC, & GBA have batteries inside their cartridges and are they hard to change out and what about the Wario Land titles??
6:49 first I want to briefly talk about Mario Kart super circuit but I'm going to get to my opinion about wario Land 4 later in this comment. So I grew up in the 1990s and I started with Super Mario Kart and I definitely for sure played Mario Kart 64 a lot more, but I knew to expect Mario Kart super circuit to be a downgrade from that game and I was okay with it, but there are some things I love about Mario Kart super circuit such as exclusive behavior from the red shells that is not in any of the other games. You can place one behind you and it will wait there but as soon as somebody drives in front of it it'll heat seek after them like a proximity mine. It's the only Mario Kart game where that's ever a thing and it's awesome. As for wario Land 4, I actually find that game to be disappointing. I beat that game really fast and I guess I kind of forgot about how there's different difficulty levels, but look I love playing the first wario Land on the super Game Boy and wario Land 2 was a lot of fun, but wario Land 3 was actually a really long game and they made it long by making you repeat levels and trying to get to different exits or different treasures based on what you had gotten before. Wario Land 3 was an incredible game and then I play wario Land 4 which comes out for a more advanced handheld and its way way way way way way shorter so I was just really disappointed.
I remember when these came out and I was psyched💪for Mario III. Then when I got it,😢😢 it utilize the e▪Reader👎👎😭😭 I didn't have 0ne! So that game was such a let down because I never saw the e▪Reader Levels or the Power Ups. It still gets me MAD😡 tat wasn't fair. ps: "Wario Fo" was the best Game out of the series.
It's interesting that the GBA did NOT have an original 2D Mario game, but had Wario Land 4, TWO Metroid games, and THREE F-Zero games.
Plus Yoshi game using motion and a new Zelda, Two Kirby games and two fire emblem games and DK King of swing. Also a Starfox clone/ripoff called: StarX. What a name😂
Ironically the gba had more platformers than any other genre on the handheld
@stevesteve0521 Yes, but Nintendo first party was mostly remakes and ports like: Mario,Pokémon,Wario,Zelda,Dk,Yoshi,Kirby,Metroid games. not too much original game, only one or maybe two for all of them. Well there were only two, but it would have made a ton of sense to include Four Swords with Minish Cap since MC was a prequel to Four Swords anyway
I came here for this comment. It actually seems pretty consumer friendly. It’s bonus content for you and a friend who owns a different game.
9:37 dude why are you phrasing this like as if you can't even save on the original Super Mario World for snes? Have you never played that game? You don't have to play the entire game in one sitting. Agreed. Though, I prefer WarioWare: Twisted to be released first. That game is a GOAT😉
@fr the only game I can’t emulate
I need to get a Game Boy Advance for some of these. (Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Super Mario Advance 1-4)
