Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy these ideas for creating a cosy home (or cozy as it is spelled in America!). What does cosy mean to you? I'd love to hear any additional tips below :) xx
Hi Suzie Xx I hope you’re doing well and the rest of your family. I can’t wait to see what you have for us. Have a blessed beautiful evening love from UK
Thank you @proudmganda1159 for your lovely message. I hope you enjoyed this weeks video on creating a cozy/cosy home. There are so many beautiful cottages in England that create this feel for me. Hope the summer weather has been gorgeous for you xx
Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad you find the natural and comforting elements relaxing. It’s wonderful to hear that the content resonates with you. xx
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback Tania! I’m thrilled to hear that the three Cs-cozy, charming, and comfortable-shine through. Your support means a lot! xx
I would love to see a video based on in very small spaces a little more realistic for all of us. Your videos are gorgeous but not very realistic when it comes to most of us trying to create beautiful spaces in much more compact scales. Thank you!! 🙏 Hope you can create one video for most of us.
Hi Natalia! Thank you for sharing and I can completely understand the desire to see smaller spaces. Are you referring particularly to studio apartments, small houses or smaller rooms in general? I would like to think that many of the tips we share can be applied at any space but it sounds like you would appreciate seeing more visual examples as well? Xx
Agreed. My two-story house is less than one-thousand sq. ft. and just one room featured here is about the size of my entire house. Not cozy, sorry! Also, cozy to me means more vintage and antique. My house was built in 1930 and I'm trying to retain the pre-WWII vibe in the decor. I understand that you can't please everybody, however.
Love your sweet cozy home visuals especially going into autumn. My “rule of thumb” is if I love it, it will look great. Lots of times I won’t even have in mind where I will place an object and the fun is finding its home. Then when time passes I will mix it all up again. Sometimes “clutter” will bother me and I take it all down and start all over again. Same things just different places. Of course furniture is different as you must measure, measure and measure for proper sizes and balance. And does it fit with our lifestyle with dogs. Like the Sherpa rugs. I had one which was pricy but with the dogs who loved it, it got dirty and was too expensive to keep cleaning. So I got rid of the large one and just kept the small one on the backside of a chair. Your creativity is inspiring! I so look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment! I love your approach to decorating-finding the perfect spot for each piece and refreshing your space regularly keeps things exciting. And yes, measuring and considering lifestyle factors like pets are crucial. It’s great to hear that you find the videos inspiring. Thanks for sharing your own decorating wisdom! xx
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Arranging lounge chairs to encourage conversation rather than just focusing on the TV definitely makes a space feel more cosy and inviting. xx
Lighting, textiles, fragrance and a home for everything all contribute to a cosy vibe. The best element for cosiness, is to be a relaxed and charming host / hostess. I believe homes absorb the energies of the people who live within. So, if the residents are content and peaceful, the home will reflect this positive energy.
Absolutely! Lighting, textiles, fragrance, and organization are key to creating a cosy atmosphere. I couldn't agree more about the impact of a relaxed and charming host-the energy of the people truly does influence the ambiance of a home xx
Thank you so much for your continued support! I’m thrilled to hear you enjoy the videos. Looking forward to sharing the next one with you this week! xx
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! It truly means the world to me. I'm so glad you're enjoying the channel, and I appreciate you being here! 😊 xx
That's a great idea! Styling a TV in an open-plan space can be tricky, but there are plenty of ways to make it work beautifully. I'll definitely consider creating a video on that topic. Thanks for the suggestion! xx
Cosy is such an important feature for a home. Id say cosy is comfortable, inviting, and warm. What is the opposite of cosy? The words that come up for me are Cold, bare, sterile.
I am all for a cozy home. That’s why I’m not a big fan of modern architecture or decor. I feel like it is too cold And Uninviting. However, some of the cozier style homes can seem a little busy and oversaturated with items. So I guess each person has their own definition of Cozy.
Absolutely, everyone has their own take on what makes a home cosy. It’s all about finding a balance that feels right for you and creates the atmosphere you love :) xx
Can someone please answer my questions. •“How can i start shopping good products for low rate. Like where can i find a thrift store be it online or offline.” •”I am a genuine design fan so i wanted to know if someone can suggest their favorite course on design and home decor.” • “ i wanna pursue interior designing as career. I was curious to know the avg monthly income one recieves” Thanks☺️!!
Hello Shrijana, with regards shopping online for lower cost items, I feel you can get quality and ethically made homewares and furniture at auctions and online marketplace such as Facebook, Etsy and Ebay. Where are you located as I am based in Australia so only know Australian design colleges. With regards pricing jobs for interior design essentially it is based on your experience and body of work to show perspective Clients. Your hourly rate to start will be lower and seem as experience gathering. Perhaps Australian $50-$60 per hour and then increasing as you develop a reputation for quality work. I hope that helps. Suzie xx
Thank you for another beautiful video! Your channel is my absolute favorite for interior design. But I have to say that snip of the hand placing the hot beverage on top of a book (and next to a camera) made me cringe!
Thanks for your feedback! Sometimes we gather additional videos from Pexels to bring some of the examples to life. What about the video made you cringe? Xx
Almost all of these spaces featured here are, in my opinion, too modern and opulent for me to consider "cozy" (the exception would be the English cottage). I guess they might be cozy if money were no object. I would feel like I'm in somebody else's house and invading their space. Sorry.
The interior of all your videos are basically the same style and upscale...mostly contemporary/traditional. They look unlived in and staged. Be useful to see some actual rooms that real people live in.
I understand your criticism! I have mentioned before that a lot of the photos are of completed design projects. This means the interior designer or client has their home photographed once the renovation or design project is complete. For hi-resolution images this is often the best images for a large video as opposed to Instagram. I would encourage you to look at places such as Pinterest, Apartment therapy, House and Garden. We will consider including other photos moving forward!

Most important in women’s life cozy home for her beautiful loving family.
I've always tried to create a cosy home. The best compliment I ever received about our home was that it is "homely". Thanks for all the advice.
Do you mean HOMEY? Homely is very different…
@@Talletc The British meaning of Homely is "simple but cosy and comfortable, as in one's own home". Its a lovely compliment xx
You do it the best. Such style and welcomed advice.
Thank you for what you do 🙏🤗

I was told my home reminded them of a grandmother’s house. Greatest compliment I could have received.
What a lovely compliment! A grandmother’s house often evokes warmth, comfort, and cherished memories-sounds like your home has achieved just that. xx
You are Forever a Joy !😊

Lovely video. I liked about where to arrange lounge chairs,so many people put them all facing a Tv,how “Uncosy”.😊
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Arranging lounge chairs to encourage conversation rather than just focusing on the TV definitely makes a space feel more cosy and inviting. xx

Lighting a candle in the evening adds to coziness when you don’t have a fireplace. 😊

Hi Suzie❤
Hi Maria! ❤️
Do you sell the coffee mugs displayed in your videos? I can't find them on your website. They look like pottery/ceramic and are stained at the top.
Can you share the timestamp? xx
