As a prior Defense Lawyer of 16 years and now a Prosecutor for 14 years, I would advise that Trump testifying or not means absolutely nothing in criminal court. I repeat to all those who want to infer anything, the right to silence is a sacred right and exercising it means absolutely nothing IN THE COURTROOM. However, Trump, as a prior leader of the free world and a possible future leader of the free world, it means everything OUTSIDE OF THE COURTROOM. Leaders lead by example...Leaders possess certain core values and principles, such as honor, integrity, humility, wisdom, authenticity, honesty, accountability. I surmise that him not taking the witness stands shows he possesses few if any leadership qualities. Had he possess any core moral leadership philosophy, he would not have found himself sitting as a defendant for having to pay a woman for her silence for having a marital affair. Regardless of his guilt or innocence, him not taking a stand means he should not be the leader of the free world. A leader never shuns accountability or responsibility. Sadly, I wonder if we have any leaders left........

If the Boss does retake power, the first crisis is going to be a massive disruption in the food supply chain as people from south of the border stay home from work. Not in protest, but in fear of being detained by immigration authorities. These workers may be documented, but they might have undocumented family members and do not want attention from the authorities. Maybe a worker carries his papers, but fears that authorities will not recognize his rights and detain him anyway. Risk having the family separated or return to your country of origin?
