I just want you guys to know that I have a shit-eating grin watching this video.
I've been listening to this band for about 3 years now, and nothing makes me more excited than watching other people hear them for the first time. Watching the surprise on your faces when the cutesy violin part comes in near the beginning game me chills. It reminds me of when I first heard them, and I wish I could experience that again.
I recommend you listen to their song "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope", it's probably their most popular song, and while I don't think it's their absolute best, it's still right up there. The studio version is great, but there's a live video many other channels have reacted to, and believe me when I say it does justice to the studio recording. These guys can pull this off live almost perfectly, and they have some great stage presence.
One thing about this band that really stands out for me is the bass. You can almost always hear the bass, and that guy's just shitting out some sick bass lines. This song is my favourite of theirs for 2 big reasons:
    1) It's long as hell. More song = more enjoyment.
    2) The breakdown about 10 minutes in, with the mysterious guitar part ringing in my head, before that fucking disgusting bass line comes in.
The dual-vocalists and violin are amazing too but the bass just does something to me that I can't get enough of, and I'm saying this as a drummer.

Thats what i love about neo.. They take you on a journey. Like a story.. Almost make you feel dirty and worried, make your heart race..
Make you feel like some evil war is going on .. Then bring you out at the end feeling clean, happy, comforted and triumphant..
This song might do it the best.

I'm so happy you guys enjoyed it this much! I heard about these guys through the prog metal subreddit on reddit.com. I added them to my playlist of metal/rock music and this song came on one day when I was jamming on my speaker. It was one of the best introductions to any band I've come across

Go watch one of their live video ("Devour me Colussus" or "And Plague flowers the Kaleidoscope" or the full show in Helsinki 2018). They pull this off live just as perfectly AND it's one hell of a show.

Love your reactions, definitely one of the best music reaction channels around. Would be really interested in seeing your reaction to some more experimental "modern" prog, like Änglagård - Jordrök. If nothing else, I can assure you you won't be bored.

Also, speaking of Australian Prog, they are killing it in the prog scene. If y'all have not heard of Karnivool (or heard their music), I'd highly suggest them!

The same guy who asked for Ne Obliviscaris also asked for Karnivool, so that's on our list.

I love NeO. Seen em twice. Intra Venus is great, And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope, and Forget Not
Also check out Allegaeon "Proponent for Sentience part 3 the Extermination " . These dudes opened for NeO. Insane band

@@ocbreactions7843 NeO isnt all that compared to other bands, and i hands down agree that they need more recognition. Im currently working on a chart for the song on mania, hoping to spread this song to the mania community.
Also. Im glad you were reacting to the song. alot of react channels just sit there with blank faces, you guys reminded me the first time i discovered this band, was really fun to watch *subcribed*

So I found y'all back when y'all did Mandroid EchoStar, and I loved how y'all broke down the first two minutes as if Alice Cooper and Santana had a baby lol, pretty spot on. I can't wait until y'all get to Leprous, but I have a feeling it will be one of those reactions where you only react once because you want to hear more. Btw NeO (Ne Obliviscaris) is a really, really good band.
