We have dyno tested several aftermarket intakes on the dyno. Stock trim we show ZERO gains. Like literally ZERO. Just so people know. Now you do gain better sound from the intake but no real power if there. The factory intake flows extremely well.
Hey, just wanted to say "thank you" for the video. Great backup to the black and white instructions. No warning lights, great sounds, and awesome response! Thanks again!
Just picked up a 2017 Titan SV, I might have to add an intake kit in the near future. As you mentioned, looking forward to your update with any gas mileage change. Nice video, thank you!
I just picked up an 06' Titan 5.6 V8 with an Air Raid CAI & it works pretty damn well, makes a sweet ass wooshing noise when u hammer down on WOT.. watch the needle sink as u hear the gas sucked away into the abyss.. pure driving enthusiast bliss.. listen to that money burn!
Honestly, it keeps up with new v8 Chargers (non-Hellcat) and stock V8 Mustangs pretty damn well and all it has is a CAI & glasspack on it, when i do the custom exhaust and ECU tune, i bet it will be a damn rocket without even adding forced induction..
Do a CAI and run the factory x-pipe into a 2-in/2-out 3" Cherry Bomb Vortex < dual Aero Turbine (Jones) resonators for the exhaust tips.. or a Purple Horny glasspack.. quiet at regular throttle but louder as you accelerate harder and really comes alive under wide-open-throttle!
Got the same truck. Love it. I came from a 2011 f150 limited with the 6.2. I miss the power , but i think its the gearing more then anything. How do u like it after a few weeks?
@@TheHappyLife-h7b do you have a video of your overall ownership experience with the truck? Anything you liked or disliked that would help a new buyer make an informed decision...? Thanks for your response!
I saw 1 - 2 MPG improvement and could tell a huge difference in acceleration with a really aggressive sound. No issues up to the time I traded it in. Thanks for watching!!
@@TheHappyLife-h7b i wish i understood why the same intake will not work on the xd model. They use the same exact gas engine. Surely Nissan doesnt use 2 different front end clips between the two?
Kevin Gleason The engine bay layout is different between xd and non xd. I found out the hard way, ordered an airaid xd kit for my non xd thinking it would fit but nope, it didn’t

Love to see a long term follow up of the intake (performance, any warning lights, etc)
Cool video. After i installed mine i was definately surpised on how much power is gained and low end tourqe.
Just put mine in based off your video. THANK YOU!!!
I am glad it helped. Thanks for watching!

I did put 22" inch wheels with 22x12 Z rated tires, i think it helps it be quicker, feels like it.
Great video, thank you. I just ordered mine for the same truck and model
Thanks for watching!
i've got similar model. wanna do this as well as a cat back, not noisy but looking for more aggressive sound. Thanks for sharing.

Would've been nice if you did a dyno run so we can actually see if there is any power gain
Dunno where to find one of those close to where I live. Thanks for watching.

I love it. I feel more power and get about 1.5 - 2 MPG more.
It’s ok I’m gonna do a 2 year review video soon
Let's Talk!!! Rita Dinnoo
Sweet let me know how ur liking truck too
Good video, thanks for sharing. Do you have any updates on fuel mileage and over all long-term performance after this install?
Fuel mileage went up by 1 - 2 MPG. Performance felt a bit better too. Unfortunately I sold the truck!

Great video! The factory instructions were absolute trash, if it wasn't for this I'd still be mf'ing K&N lol
Glad it was helpful.... thanks for watching!
Did that saved you gas? I am thinking to put one on my 2020 armada
Maybe 1-2 MPG if I layed off the gas.
hello did the cold air intake improve fuel economy. have there been any mechanical issues

Did the MPG's improve?
1-2 MPG better but the sound was amazing! So I stayed on it way too much and that did not help me any. Thanks for watching.
@@TheHappyLife-h7b yeah thats always the issue when getting a new intake😆.
Hi is this the same for a Nissan Armada
Hey there, I have Nissan Titan XD 2016 and I can't find any air intake for my vehicle, do you think I can install the same as yours?
No that will not work. Check out company called S&B they make a kit for the XD
K n n makes an intake for that model truck
K&n just made a intake finally for the Titan XD 5.6L . It's out of stock but you can still order it on there website part number 63-6020

Hey bud. I just bought the 2018 Titan Midnight. Nice vid. More air = More fuel. Our truck is horrid on fuel already.
So no 21mpg Highway???
ITSALLGOOD 74 Nope 😩
Jeremy DeMoura idk, i am getting between 17 to 18 average. For a full size half ton that is above average.
Hahha 15.5 average. 28gal tank 480 miles per tank so maybe 17?
Strange I'm getting 21 or better. Keep your foot off the floor and use better gas.
Just installed my kn intake, cranks but won't start. Starts fine when i put my oem intake back on
Thanks for watching!!
I think that you installed the Mass Air Flow Sensor the wrong way! You only had to rotate it 180°.
How come I tried installing one and now my truck won't turn on?
Check all wires for connection check MAF cable
I think that you installed the Mass Air Flow Sensor the wrong way! All you had to do, was to spin 180°.
what is the part number of this? 63-6020 or the 63-6019? And would this work on a 2018 titan?
6019 is the PN I used.
Do u have the straith pipe
4 a 2.0ltr turbo diesel vw passat 2014 140hp standard now 146.3hp an torque 320nm 334.4 4.5% on hp an torque an bigger the engine more u gain
Looks like a good place for a mouse nest!
Do you have to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU before installing?
I wondered the same thing
No you do not
U don't have to, but it's not a bad idea if you're disconnecting the MAF sensor, since it's sensitive..
K&N instructions tell you to DISCONNECT Neg Battery (STEP 1). Just installed same kit on 2018 Titan. LEGIT!!
There are no gains whatsoever. Placebo effect only. What a joke.
Regardless about any gains... a lot of people want it and it's cool. So fuck off you turd
