- This song reminds me of growing up and going to punk shows. Back in 1993 or so, Yuri and I tried to go see the Dead Milkmen at the OK Hotel in Seattle, Washington. We were so excited to sing along to Big Lizard in my Backyard and Bitchin Camaro but as we reached the front of the line we were turned away. The door guy yelled - SOLD OUT!
We could just make out the sound of the first band kicking off as we walked away. And so we headed back. It was a lonely ferry ride across the Puget Sound that night. Back home to Bremerton.
This song reminds me of that first experience getting turned away from a sold out show. Let’s make some new memories.

Lyrics:
Without a window to see through
I did my time, in here without you
Slept on the floor down in the LBC (Long Beach California)
Meet me back home under the marquee
It seems like misery loves misery
My favorite songs they keep me company
So many memories come down to this
I maybe be lost but I'm not hopeless
I heard that sound a mile away
I heard that sound a mile away
All those things I wish that I could say
I heard that sound a mile away
A mile away
Came in like static off the tv
This kinda thing never goes easy
I meant to tell you but you were gone
I tried to get it right, I got it all wrong
I heard that sound a mile away
I heard that sound a mile away
All those things I wish that I could say
I heard that sound a mile away
A mile away
Sat outside the show
With nowhere else,
Nowhere else to go
Doors shut, can't see
It sure does sound,
Good to me!
I heard that sound a mile away
I heard that sound a mile away
All those things I wish that I could say
I heard that sound a mile away
A mile away Видеоклипы
“Burnout Revenge” ❤️🔥
This song brings nostalgia to a whole new level
One of the greatest songs ever
Agreed.
Not wrong. Time goes way too quick.
Punk rock tamo junto até o fim lado a lado sonzera da porr*, viva MXPX.

Eu tbm amo essa música
Mxpx é fera demais
Tamo junto galera
eu também amigo.
Essa música é top demais
This band is highly under-rated! They have a happy kind of energy that produces carthartic moments that make you wanna jump around and sing with them. It's like they carried the flag for Social D and kept marching on.
Never thought about it before, but you’re right! There’s a lot of parallels to Mike Ness and Mike Hererra’s singing/music style!
Damn...so many Burnout Revenge nostalgia flashbacks. Thx for uploading this song✌️
I prefer P Basses all done especially when recording records, but Mike has that perfect Ernie Ball and Ampeg Slinky sound down!!!! I love it!!!
Mike is one of the nicest dudes I’ve met from any band.
Thank you for bringing back my carefree years of being a stoned teenager
Feel you bro
I may be lost but I’m not hopeless.
My favorite line ever :-)
This band means a lot to me. I spent over 3 hours a days or longer as a kid listening to them while skating my flat bar on my skateboard. They kept me going and I never got bored listening even though I only had them and a few others to listen to considering I could only afford so many cds. It’s always refreshing to listen no matter how long It’s been or how many times I heard the songs.
I wish music like this was getting new bands....i mean im not sure if they r....but old skate punk is my favorite
Good times. Memories
This video is emblematic, because my friend who introduced me to MXPX is returning to live in the city where I live after 10 years living in another state. :)
Still killing it since way of the Buffalo. Keep shredding boys.
Saw them do it live with the Five Iron Frenzy horn section and now I can't listen to this song without the horn parts
Burnout Legends
😢i miss my gameplay burnout legends

I never knew "Gentlemen "Joe Gittleman ( Avoid One Thing / Mighty Mighty Bosstones ) helped write this song nice ! I guess it was a Side One Dummy connection
This is a setlist of round 5 last month 😆
eu amo essa musica, me lembra um tempo bom!!!!!!
Mxpx 4 ever 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
MALAYSIA!!🤘🤘🤘
When all this covid mess goes away , would be rad to see you guys play the Olympia back stage again. One of the first shows I had the pleasure of seeing you all play live. Rock on dudes 🤘
Dude! An Oly show would be epic! But, for nostalgia sake, they should be put on the bill as Magnified Plaid.
Sick seeing you guys still rock.. been playing your sh$t since the mid 90s
Songs to go the beach!
The best song of this band

Love this song! Thanks so much for 6 best punk rock shows! Fantastic performance and epic practice! Hi from Moscow, Russia! Awesome way to end the weekend. I hope see you next time! Much love MxPx!
I love this song, every time it takes me back to when I got my driving licence, going around with my friends during summers, drifting away from problems easily
Is this one really about Yuri and his microphone?
What a classic video too
Reminiscing on a reminiscing song
Back in 2005 i first heard it i was 15, soo many amazing memories we had back in the teens and this song was our anthem, always said the most favourite song was this and till today
I have never stopped listening to ur tunes over 20 years later! I used to talk with your manager on A&M years ago with my high-school band Garage Hill. Keep up the great music and work!🔥🔥🔥💯🤘♥️
Best performance
🔥🔥
Those harmonies though!! 🙏👍
Yuri should really play this in punk time!!
I was in Iraq in 2005-2006. I listened to this album almost every day. Made being stuck in a hell hole for a war I didn't even support much more tolerable.
Watched your documentary B Movie while I was over there, too. When I heard Yuri make the joke about reading the Wall Street Journal and "We need that oil" I burst out laughing.
Otro lunes alegre gracias a los muchachos.
need to live longer to hear this song many times. ❤❤❤
beautiful song
👌👌👌
They continue great ! ! !
My favorite song off Panic. Yes 🙌 I was having a tough day. This was what I needed. Hell yes!
Love this song! Damn..it feels nostalgic.
I've seen MxPx live in Brazil back in the 2000's and it was memorable.
