I love this theme song. It reminds me of Eddie Timanus, an excellent jeopardy contestant who won $69,700, extremely awesome amount of money, so he really did a fantastic job despite the fact that he is totally blind. Therefore, this shows me that people who have disabilities like this can still succeed in doing what they really want to do in their lives. The point is that disabilities such as total blindness doesn't stop people from doing anything as long as they put their minds to it.
Eddie Timanus is also the reason why "Now entering the studio are today's contestants" got replaced with "And here are today's contestants", along with the players no longer walking into the studio during the intro.

I loved when they did the promotionals at the end of the show and they'd switch back to the credits the music would sometimes be at the start so I could listen to it longer as they rolled extended credits!

Every now and then when I got home from Elementary/Middle school during this period, I would watch me some Jeopardy as I get settled in after a long day.
I like this version, but I think it's the second best version of the theme. If you listen to each of the versions starting from earlier on, and you go all the way up to today's version, you can see how they evolved, from the one version to the next version of the theme.
