It’s crazy seeing all these RUclipsrs get really good seeds without modifying the world at all and when I don’t modify the world I get one where there is no lunar island or just anything on the ocean at all.
And I tried Wathom as UM run...what can I say: powerful almost as Wolfgang, eats as Wigfrid, immune to darkness but very big downside is his attacking style and adrenaline scale; somehow I managed to fight with bosses as Wathom but without curse due to extra high damage he takes when overfilled with adrenaline. Like this character but he definitely can't tanking plus this jumping animation during attack is something you need to always think about during boss fight.
Very good video and made me very interested into playing Uncompromising Mode, my only small complain is that in some parts the footage felt a bit too speed up and was slightly nauseating.
To be honest I absolutely agree with you. I won’t be doing that anymore because some parts of my videos (before the most recent one) feel kinda unwatchable.
I think that the pick/axe rework is quite balanced, as making pigmen do it is very fast and cheap, and the trip to the ruins can be very difficult for new/intermediate players and requires a good amount of prep. I think when balancing it it needs to compete with maxwell/woodie/pigmen/bosses and it is a great change!

U should try dst alone mod and try to learn animation canceling it will help u alot U can do it with picking up items too by using WASD after picking up so u press space bar then any directional key to cancle the picking animation with that u can loot much faster
I kind of lean towards the AoE effect of the pick/axe to be unbalanced. It already has significantly high durability when chopping wood in addition to less swings being needed. If you want to cut trees en masse, you can use pigs or Maxwell. But I guess it makes the pick/axe a little more coveted.
BTW UM has a secret boss which is a shadow version of wixie. The boss isn't that hard I beat it with 2 friends on day 3 but technically you have to kill it cuz its all bosses. I don't know how to summon it though so good luck
Hey i got a quick question, im starting on uncompromising mode and thw wiki isnt entirely helpful with certain items, i got my drops and its unholy as i got the bill, thick fur, krampus sack, and bee crown and i wanted to know about the hibernation vest (i was unlucky with the beef spawn so theres only 2 left the one is my riding beef and another that i left out after killing 2 other beefs)
According to UM wiki, her alarming clock has reduced damage (68 in middle age, 128 in old age), she takes more damage from nightmares, her clocks have longer timer for cooldown (4 min for ageless watch instead of 1 min, about 6 min for rift watch instead of 3 minutes, and about 12 min for second chance watch)…what else to note, some watches require more than 1 time pieces now and time pieces cost 8 thulecite pieces each in vanilla. I think in first days its must have marble armor for tough fights or keeping Wanda in youth so she won’t take high damage with 80% protection before getting dreadstone/thulecite armor. Can use nightmare armor but in UM you can be very insane with it because now taking damage in nightmare armor reduces sanity from taken damage…so now Wanda gameplay in UM is definitely for experienced players comparing to vanilla one.
