I strongly disagree with the girl. The song doesn't have to be a volk song to be Armenian. In Armenia we listen to pop songs like this all the time and there are many artists in Armenia who make this kind of music. And if you knew anything about Armenia, you would notice the arevakhach in the middle of the stage at the end of the performance. It's the ethernity symbol of Armenians and represents Armenian identity. This song for me was powerful and Armenian enough.
