He didnt win because of skill or physique, he just used the fact that Nong-O is a thai and they are normally slow starters so obv haggerty opened at max capacity and took Nong-O by surprise. Brains won this match. Plain and simple.

You could see Nong-O's confidence oozing out smiles and all, being ultra aggressive and trying to go blow for blow which led to a slip up that threw all his momentum away. In Muay Thai, the thais retire around 26. We used to say it was insane Saenchai was competing at 34 back in 2014. Muay thai affects the body very hard and thais start very young - Nong-o came out of retirement for OneFC. 36 maybe physical prime (the very end) but most Thai’s bodies and reflexes are shot by late 20’s early 30’s. But nong-o is clearly a diff beast considering he was champ. So give Jon his props… No excuses for Nong-o he underestimated Jon and got caught
Love warching this over and over again. Unlike boxing matches, lots of boxers tend to run about and not in attack mode. ( i reckon its to conserve energy for 12 rounds) and it makes it less exciting. Whereas this fight, 2 warriors put their life out there to bring the best entertainment for us. Simply applaud Haggerty for this amazing win! Outstanding precision striking.

Maybe I'm a little rusty on the fine points of scoring, but personally I thought Haggerty won the first bout. Undeniably Rodtang handed it to him in the second, even if it had gone the distance it was a dominant performance from Rodtang throughout the second fight.
