      @@TheEsquireofSports.2.0what does that even mean? Lol obviously they wouldn’t want to be sued again and obviously they wouldn’t pussify the game if they hadn’t been sued. League wants the game safe so they can continue to print money. Players want the game safe so they can continue making generational wealth for as long as possible.
      Only problem is the league is going too far and new up and coming leagues who aren’t so reactionary will have an edge in 15yrs if the officiating keeps headed the direction it’s going

      Ugh…It’s not scary. And I really hate that ppl who believe it’s scary are the ppl who’s opinions are catered to. Ppl who haven’t experienced it and want to find ways to be more offended than the next. Safety is great. Seeing a person faded after gettin baptized is a part of contact sports and 100% recoverable

    • @jaygremillion
      @jaygremillion 7 месяцев назад

      @@tjanderson5892 Yeah, countless medical professionals would disagree with your ability to brush this off as nothing to worry about. But if seeing a grown man visibly unaware of his surroundings, as Chad Johnson was in that video, is something that is entertaining to you then you do you. But most reasonable people would see that video and have a natural inclination to understand that what you saw there is not normal nor healthy. Yes, often players do recover but often there are symptoms long after that type of injury occurs. I understand that you, as an alpha male, are so in tuned to your masculinity that any thought of making a sport safer is a challenge to said masculinity but most reasonable people would come to the conclusion that seeing somebody hit like that and the impact it has on them isn't necessary for the sport to be entertaining.
      Big hits and injuries are part of the game and a natural risk of many contact sports. But there are often reasons to make the sports safer for all parties involved. Not to mention that the sport is bigger than ever and that is with all the attempts to make the game safer.
      But go on...

      Come on... With the money the NFL makes these players shouldn't have to worry about healthcare after retirement. Football, more than any other sport, has these dudes putting their body on the line. They are doing permanent damage to themselves. I understand a lot of these dudes get paid a lot of money. But who can foresee the problems they might get 20 years down the line. NFL is pulling 15 billion a year... They can afford to take care of their guys.

      The days of Lynn Swann getting leveled, and Daryl Stingley being paralyzed were brutal. Jack Tatum and some of those guys were out for blood. Yes, rules had to change or else. There quite a few of them that were dirty as Hell. Playing hard is one thing, but to intentionally try to hurt or maim another player was uncalled for and almost criminal. Seems like that players like that should have been kicked out of the league. Tatum never felt bad or thought he did anything wrong for his “hit” on Stingley. Proof to me that he was a dirty asshole.

    #1. Those hits were scary. Even those days they should have not stayedin the game both hits they were obviously KO'd on the field.
    #2. I complained with this protocol stuff initially but realized for the sake of the players completely necessary.
    #3. The first hit on Unc while scary its kind of amazing how Thomas laid that hit (it wasnt a knee) and still caught that INT. It's usually one or the other lay the hit to separate the ball or go for the INT he did both at he same time.
    #4. These QBs really need to do more to protect these WRs sheesh.

    • @aeromedical6776
      @aeromedical6776 4 месяца назад

      Defenders are just too big and fast these days to allow the same kind of hitting they did up until the 80’s. If you allowed linebackers to hit QB’s the way the likes of Jack Lambert, Dick Butkus, etc did in their day, you wouldn’t have a single starting QB make it an entire season without significant time on the injury list.

    The 3rd hit on Shannon was definitely deserving of an unnecessary roughness penalty. The other two was how the game was played. These days the receivers can go over the middle or jump for balls with no fear. It also goes both ways bc both Shannon and Ocho had some devastating blindside blocks on defenders. I miss that football!
