I didn’t care if she stopped a real crime or a monopoly, bad real estate deal. Some of these ladies ended up being some of the most attractive women ever to be on TV
I met Yvonne Craig in 1990 at a comics convention in Oakland. She was absolutely stunning and very nice and her sister looked even better than she did right next to her with Grace Lee Whitney, who looked incredible and to the left of her was Julie Newmar, so we had two out of three Batmanactresses at the same spot. They were also several people who had been on Star Trek including the sub commander from the enterprise incident and two Ben who played thugs in a piece of the action so it was great fun to meet Yvonne Craig and I had a crush on her for years.
I had the FINE HONOR of meeting Yvonne Craig at The Austin Comic-Con in the fall of 2003! She was a delight to converse with. She was funny, kind hearted and still a VERY beautiful woman! A great moment in my life, I'll ALWAYS treasure! Rest in Peace Yvonne Craig..... ❤

Everyone seems to hate on Batman’s 3rd season, but Yvonne Craig has always made it my favorite of the three. Little boy me had a huge crush on her - and that hasn’t changed.
There was supposed to be a Batgirl movie, and the head honchos put a kabosh on it. It looked like a potentially good film. It was a sad day in Gotham and the rest of the world.
I used to watch the 1960s Batman series, yes it was camp and corny but it was suitable for children to watch unlike alot of TV 📺 shows nowadays. Yvonne Craig (R.I.P) stole the show though even if she only appeared in one season. She was gorgeous 😍 and very talented, lighting up the screen with her mere presence. Unlike alot of TV 📺 shows the cast of Batman all got on like a house 🏠 on fire 🔥 and had a whale 🐋 of a time working together.

In that memorable episode of "Star Trek" where she played the asylum patient was her absolute SLINKIEST character! WOW! Did she ever drape herself around every piece of furniture-AND MAN in the episode......❤

She Batgirl has changed from being a sidekick of sorts to a solo hero and a match for all those villains except with some bad or heavy sense with her being attacked by the Joker and left in a wheelchair for years but a positive way back was her chance to become the Oracle a tech and Internet eyes and ears for those other heroes of DC universe. Technically still Batgirl but Oracle. She Batgirl triumphantly returned not before there were other Batgirls and Batwoman and Huntress emerged from the shadows of the Batcave. Batgirl Birds Of Pray Oracle Barbara Gordon would never be possible if wasn't for a tv series all those years ago a pantheon that gave us Wonder Woman and The Bionic Woman and Peggy Carter and maybe many female secret agents like from Uncle and Get Smart and female villains Catwoman and the Borg Queen NG and Nanny Goodness and many others. Inspired by television movies books and history. Batgirl was the first there was Flash Gordon's girlfriend and more.

Lol Batman was never meant to be that corny 0:52. Apparently you never read Batman comics. Batman 66 was not only true to the comics of the time, the show actually inspired much that happened in comics.
The producers wanted to budget cut Batman " Pow!!!" by getting rid of Robin, and Chief O'Hara, and making Batgirl " Sock !!!" Batman's new side kick. However Adam West wouldnt have it.
That 60's Batman was the best Batman, the comedy and sarcasm was over the top. I honestly hate modern Batman, they literally make him as powerful as Superman which is so stupid. Try to watch that 60's Batman movie and not laugh.
I do agree on the point that modern Batman (mid-90s to now) really sucks in most media. They made him too darn serious and the fact that they have him beating Superman is preposterous. Superman is SUPPOSED to be unbeatable. The Batman of earlier times...TV show, comics, cartoons...was a more well-adjusted individual. And he freakin' needs Robin!
Us boomers really had it made. With the batman series and wonder woman in the 1970s, was great to be a middle school and high school lad. Never missed an episode. No transgender problem back then. I wonder why. The women were fantastic.

I did an interview with Van Williams (Green Hornet, himself). There were other factors that played into it's cancellation after one season. Playing it straight had little to do with it. The show got half the budget of Batman and not much promotion. Van wanted it to be an hour instead of a half hour to build more character development. Ratings weren't the biggest problem. Van was losing interest in the show as it was and so were the show runners. Really, concentrating on more than one show (Batman) was too much for William Dozier to handle. He had a really farcical pilot for Wonder Woman that never saw the light of day...cornier than Batman.
Totally Hot, never got major roles to show case her talents, think her good looks played a factor so Hollywood executives never took her seriously, just another pretty face.
Corny to stupid camp was the popular mind set in 1966. Look at other entertainment that was the same mindset. It was felt that a serious series would have flopped.

I remember watching a solo batgirl pilot episode..producers of that pilot didn’t make any effort to make sure it being successful . She was given an awful costume including a motorcycle that looked like it came from a junk yard .
It was a pilot pitch but I know what you mean. The original mask was not good. I'm sure they would have improved the bike if it was greenlit. Thankfully, they improved on both of those things when she was brought to the series.

I own the comics, read them, and they're not as corny as the TV show. They're not dark, but they're not ridiculous. Read Batgirl's debut. Great story.
Even the 1968 Filmation cartoons were closer to the comics of the period.

That 60's Batman was the best Batman, the comedy and sarcasm was over the top. I honestly hate modern Batman, they literally make him as powerful as Superman which is so stupid. Try to watch that 60's Batman movie and not laugh.
I do agree on the point that modern Batman (mid-90s to now) really sucks in most media. They made him too darn serious and the fact that they have him beating Superman is preposterous. Superman is SUPPOSED to be unbeatable. The Batman of earlier times...TV show, comics, cartoons...was a more well-adjusted individual. And he freakin' needs Robin!

Us boomers really had it made. With the batman series and wonder woman in the 1970s, was great to be a middle school and high school lad. Never missed an episode. No transgender problem back then. I wonder why. The women were fantastic.

The man that produced the "Batman" TV series admitted he felt anybody that read comics were idiots so it is no wonder that the show was that corny.
He did a failed pilot pitch for Wonder Woman that made the Batman series look high brow. Thank goodness that never went anywhere.

The Green Hornet TV series played straight, not as a spoof. It promptly flopped. It could have been the same with Batgirl.
I did an interview with Van Williams (Green Hornet, himself). There were other factors that played into it's cancellation after one season. Playing it straight had little to do with it. The show got half the budget of Batman and not much promotion. Van wanted it to be an hour instead of a half hour to build more character development. Ratings weren't the biggest problem. Van was losing interest in the show as it was and so were the show runners. Really, concentrating on more than one show (Batman) was too much for William Dozier to handle. He had a really farcical pilot for Wonder Woman that never saw the light of day...cornier than Batman.

Totally Hot, never got major roles to show case her talents, think her good looks played a factor so Hollywood executives never took her seriously, just another pretty face.
Whenever Batgirl appeared on the screen, I could smell her perfume through the tv. Really! I could never explain that phenomena.

I remember watching a solo batgirl pilot episode..producers of that pilot didn’t make any effort to make sure it being successful . She was given an awful costume including a motorcycle that looked like it came from a junk yard .
It was a pilot pitch but I know what you mean. The original mask was not good. I'm sure they would have improved the bike if it was greenlit. Thankfully, they improved on both of those things when she was brought to the series.
