I’ve been going through so much clips since Shannen passed and I’ve become obsessed with watching everything I could find with Shan & Luke….. in retrospect they were a phenomenal gift to each other and to us and I just pray they are looking after each other and are loving each other in heaven.
They never knew what they lost when they lost Shannen. She gave this show depth, credibility and a good person with morals you could root for. Tiffani Thiessen was no substitute.

And after Jasons departure, the series went all the way down the Mountain. And that Luke came back was a mistake. The Show should have stopped with Brandon.

Beverly Hills 90210 WAS Brenda Walsh. Even in the 4th season when she changed and was noticeably distant from the rest of the cast, she still shined brightest, maybe even brighter than before. Though in the end Kelly and Dylan were together (sort of), I believe his heart will always belong to Brenda, and I'm so glad her last moment was spent with him.

Biggest mistake to not have an end scene w/them. When she left, I couldn't watch the whole Kelly Dylan thing... it's a non-starter. Brenda was where his heart was, she wasn't just fixated on dating him, he loved her because she could love herself & him. At least the writers said if they had stayed on, would have kept the two together.... relationships grow, but the two actors worked well together and I wanted to see Dylan happy and moving forward too... w/someone who loved him.

some people here seem to forget that Brenda and Dylan were reunited off-screen after Dylan left Beverly Hills, the only reason he ended up with kelly was because shannen doherty wouldn't return for the finale, it was always meant to be Dylan and Brenda in the end

Sadly, this will remain the last scene these actors will ever share. What really sucks is that only a couple of weeks or so before Luke’s (awful, untimely, and baffling) death, he and Shannen had met up for lunch and had been discussing working together again. They were apparently brainstorming ideas. Neither had signed on for the reboot (that I sadly no longer really care about), Luke likely because of his commitment to “Riverdale”, but it would have been awesome to see them, in any capacity, together again. Rest easy, Luke. Still can’t believe it.

They really wanted to work together again, Luke also pushed the Riverdale producers to cast Shannen so that they can work together on the show but they never did it till the saddest episode of Riverdale in honor of Luke. They loved each other on and off set and cancer brought them together again. I'm so pissed they never had a chance again.

Brenda was the only person that really knew him, like when he saw his father getting killed, my thought was he needs Brenda, she’s the only one to get him threw this. They were meant for each other. And the last episode of them together, when she offered herself to him, he didn’t even hesitate.
I’d take that one step further and say, Brenda was the only person he let know him. Everyone else he put on the bad boy lover mystique, but Brenda was his vault. After his dad was blown up, remember Jim Walsh went over to his house to ask him to stay with them to get him away from the pressure of the media circus … he declined the much needed invitation assuming Brenda wouldn’t want him there, and when he learned it was her who wanted him to come take refuge in their home, he agreed. Dylan wouldn’t ever impose himself on Brenda, he wanted her to want him - truly. And that the only way it could work. The other line I love from Dylan is when he told Brenda in front Kelly “you broke up with me don’t you ever forget it”…. As in she wanted out, not him. And the other line everyone must remember when he told her “I loved you more than I ever loved anyone … it was just too intense for the both of us”…. AND his mother and his little sister saw the difference and - loved Brenda at core and knew Kelly was just there to pass time.

Well thats's because Brenda (Shannon) left the show. If she had never left, Brenda and Dylan would have ended up together. That's what Darren Star said. When Dylan left in season 6 I believe it was, he went to Brenda in London. If he had never come back he would still be with Brenda, but Luke Perry deciede to come back to the show and Shannon wouldn't so the writers put Kelly and Dylan together like a last resort. Brenda and Dylan always belonged together!

The way I would describe Toni to Dylan was like an Angel passing through reminding him to breathe again. She was the only one after Brenda, that had true fire chemistry with Luke.
I missed Brenda so much when she left and when I saw this part of her final episode, I was heartbroken. I couldn't have said it better my friend, Beverly Hills 90210 was never the same without Brenda, it didn't even seem like 90210 after she left, those horrible new characters they created like Claire, Noah, Gina, and Toni were all horrible and made many fans miss Brenda even more especially her with Dylan. BH 90210 definitely was and is Brenda Walsh and Dylan Mckay together and in my book they got married.
Brenda and Dylan's relationship was so good! I love them both and I was really happy when at the en of 90210's season 6, it was announced that they were leaving together in London. The truth is that Shannen should've never left 90210 and Breand should be the one that got Dylan in the end, but ok, at least we had 4 amazing years of this carachters.
It's so obvious the writers intended Dylan to end up with Brenda, you only have to see this scene to know that. Had Shannen returned and Jason stayed, Dylan and Kelly wouldn't have happened again.
Not only did they loose Shannen, but also changed the essence of the show: From a very well written teen drama it became a soap opera, with bad writing and bad creative direction. Season 5 was absolutely terrible in every aspect. The writing was terrible. The first 4 years of gold were gone and the teen Idol crown was taken from them. They tried to save the show in season 6 by firing Gabriel, Mark, Carol and James, but it was too late. Season 6 wasn't bad but all the seasons after, should have been scrapped. Aaron Spelling just didn't want to pull the plug on the show, even though it had nothing to offer. And if you look at the ratings, it fell through consistently from season 5 and on.
They never got the happy ending, in a perfect world, Dylan and Brenda should have ended up getting married towards the end of 90210 had they kept Shannen
Yeah but the fact was she cause nothing but problems and in-fighting on the set, it's the reason she was also fired from Charmed for the same reason. It seems every TV series she does she causes problems on the sets with the other actors/actresses and they get pushed into a corner feeling they have no choice to get rid of her because of the chaos she creates. You would have thought Shannon would have got her act together after 90210 but she did it was the same thing in Charmed and she only lasted about 2 seasons before they had to kill her off because of the problems and deciding it wasn't worth the trouble of keeping her.

The writers screwed this couple up from the start they broke them up because the censors went nuts about sex and no guilt. 90210 (in the beginning) always had a lesson in every episode. Brenda and Dylan had so much history though (that was shown unlike Kelly and the gradeschool thing with Dylan) Dylan wanted Brenda to be happy so he loved her enough to let her go, he wasn't selfish. He also wasn't sure if Brenda felt the same way, once he knew it mutual, well he takes he down to the floor :)
Hey I heard that why on teen drama when ever some has sex. They have to write a pregnancy scare, teen pregnancy, STD story, or have them break up to show that it is wrong to do so people at the networks don't freak out about it.

No, he tried to get her back on the day they went fishing before they started college. She told him know bc she was scared it would ruin the friendship that they had established post-breakup. He totally wanted her and tried to get it to happen earlier!

I never understood how Brenda was able to forgive and continue her friendship with Kelly. And not only for having messed with Dylan, but for hiding her feelings and lying so much and so long. She used everything that Brenda told her, to reach Dylan. After that, how can you trust her anything again? I also remember how Kelly told Dylan "I always wanted" you. Dylan of course didn't act well either, but I have always considered that it is easier to find a man than a good friend.
I think this should've ended at season 7. It started getting really stupid in season 8. And the show was about the Walshes, and by the end none of them were on anymore.
I will always believe that they ended up together. Because in the spinoff 90210 Dylan never came back and Dylan called Brenda not Kelly in the Season 1 Episode of 90210. Then Brenda left BH and never went back. Dylan and Brenda = End Game.

This was a great way to end the 4th season. It explains on season 5 why Dylan was on drugs i felt like after Brenda left it took a toll on him with that and his other personal problems. To me Dylan and Brenda were the best couple.
Abused Peanut I appreciate this very last scene we got with them but I do agree. I felt it was more 'off' coming from Luke's end and I suspect by this point tensions were high offscreen & Shannen not coming back was probably known. Luke seemed as if he was pushing through their last scene together which made Dylan come off a bit detached|aloof considering he was reconnecting with Brenda and they just shared an awesome scene full of chemistry in an episode not too long before, Vital Signs (ie. Walsh Kitchen scene). Given that, I did expect a bit more here.

Tiffany Waldon The writers didn’t hate her. The executive producers Charles Rosin said that the character that the writers like to write most was Brenda (Shannen) because she never complained or change the script and was the only one who delivered their lines good. Even when they change something in the script at last moment she knew how to delivered it. She had a photogenic memory and most of the cast hated that. So there was some jealousy towards her too.
If you don't watch after this ep they could've ended up together in our minds. I'm glad the final ep was off them making love. We can re write the story as Brenda returning to Beverly Hills after her London trip and she and Dylan living happily ever after.
They DID end up together. After Dylan's wife Tony was killed off in Season 6- he takes off on Motorcycle- then went to England and got back together with Brenda offscreen.

Sadly, this will remain the last scene these actors will ever share. What really sucks is that only a couple of weeks or so before Luke’s (awful, untimely, and baffling) death, he and Shannen had met up for lunch and had been discussing working together again. They were apparently brainstorming ideas. Neither had signed on for the reboot (that I sadly no longer really care about), Luke likely because of his commitment to “Riverdale”, but it would have been awesome to see them, in any capacity, together again. Rest easy, Luke. Still can’t believe it.

Exactly! They really wanted to work together again, Luke also pushed the Riverdale producers to cast Shannen so that they can work together on the show but they never did it till the saddest episode of Riverdale in honor of Luke. They loved each other on and off set and cancer brought them together again. I'm so pissed they never had a chance again.

Luke wasn't really going to be in the reboot because he was on Riverdale. Only God knows all things. Some things we simply can't change, and it is a waste of time to choose to continue to dwell on it. Prayerfully, he is resting in peace in Jesus' name. AMEN.
Brenda was the only person that really knew him, like when he saw his father getting killed, my thought was he needs Brenda, she’s the only one to get him threw this. They were meant for each other. And the last episode of them together, when she offered herself to him, he didn’t even hesitate.
I’d take that one step further and say, Brenda was the only person he let know him. Everyone else he put on the bad boy lover mystique, but Brenda was his vault.
After his dad was blown up, remember Jim Walsh went over to his house to ask him to stay with them to get him away from the pressure of the media circus … he declined the much needed invitation assuming Brenda wouldn’t want him there, and when he learned it was her who wanted him to come take refuge in their home, he agreed.
Dylan wouldn’t ever impose himself on Brenda, he wanted her to want him - truly. And that the only way it could work.
The other line I love from Dylan is when he told Brenda in front Kelly “you broke up with me don’t you ever forget it”…. As in she wanted out, not him.
And the other line everyone must remember when he told her “I loved you more than I ever loved anyone … it was just too intense for the both of us”….
AND his mother and his little sister saw the difference and - loved Brenda at core and knew Kelly was just there to pass time.
I went to watch this tonight cuz it's one of my All-Time Fave Scene in TV, EVER!!! And, lmfao cuz I was thinking to myself 'You dork...Who else is still watching Brenda & Dylan circa 2017?' Well thats's because Brenda (Shannon) left the show. If she had never left, Brenda and Dylan would have ended up together. That's what Darren Star said. When Dylan left in season 6 I believe it was, he went to Brenda in London. If he had never come back he would still be with Brenda, but Luke Perry deciede to come back to the show and Shannon wouldn't so the writers put Kelly and Dylan together like a last resort. Brenda and Dylan always belonged together!

Show officially went down hill after Brenda left. Show never got back its glory again after she left. They tried to replace her with those new but stale and awful characters but all us wise fans know that Brenda Walsh is the heart of this show and she is truly and infinitely irreplaceable and was the best!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have said it better my friend, Beverly Hills 90210 was never the same without Brenda, it didn't even seem like 90210 after she left, those horrible new characters they created like Claire, Noah, Gina, and Toni were all horrible and made many fans miss Brenda even more especially her with Dylan. BH 90210 definitely was and is Brenda Walsh and Dylan Mckay together and in my book they got married.

Brenda and Dylan's relationship was so good! I love them both and I was really happy when at the en of 90210's season 6, it was announced that they were leaving together in London. The truth is that Shannen should've never left 90210 and Breand should be the one that got Dylan in the end, but ok, at least we had 4 amazing years of this carachters.

It's so obvious the writers intended Dylan to end up with Brenda, you only have to see this scene to know that. Had Shannen returned and Jason stayed, Dylan and Kelly wouldn't have happened again.
Not only did they loose Shannen, but also changed the essence of the show: From a very well written teen drama it became a soap opera, with bad writing and bad creative direction. Season 5 was absolutely terrible in every aspect. The writing was terrible. The first 4 years of gold were gone and the teen Idol crown was taken from them. They tried to save the show in season 6 by firing Gabriel, Mark, Carol and James, but it was too late. Season 6 wasn't bad but all the seasons after, should have been scrapped. Aaron Spelling just didn't want to pull the plug on the show, even though it had nothing to offer. And if you look at the ratings, it fell through consistently from season 5 and on.

Yeah but the fact was she cause nothing but problems and in-fighting on the set, it's the reason she was also fired from Charmed for the same reason. It seems every TV series she does she causes problems on the sets with the other actors/actresses and they get pushed into a corner feeling they have no choice to get rid of her because of the chaos she creates. You would have thought Shannon would have got her act together after 90210 but she did it was the same thing in Charmed and she only lasted about 2 seasons before they had to kill her off because of the problems and deciding it wasn't worth the trouble of keeping her.

Like many other fans who watched the original run, I lost so much interest when Dylan and Brenda broke up. Fast-forward to now, nearly 20 years later, I've started watching the series in order from the very beginning - and I know now that I will NEVER fully accept EVER that Dylan and Brenda broke up. 💔

The writers screwed this couple up from the start they broke them up because the censors went nuts about sex and no guilt. 90210 (in the beginning) always had a lesson in every episode. Brenda and Dylan had so much history though (that was shown unlike Kelly and the gradeschool thing with Dylan) Dylan wanted Brenda to be happy so he loved her enough to let her go, he wasn't selfish. He also wasn't sure if Brenda felt the same way, once he knew it mutual, well he takes he down to the floor :)
Hey I heard that why on teen drama when ever some has sex. They have to write a pregnancy scare, teen pregnancy, STD story, or have them break up to show that it is wrong to do so people at the networks don't freak out about it.
I guess the show lost its sparkle when the Walshes left, it was like they were the heart of the series, honestly i only like seasons 1-3 , when the gang was in high school, after that everything chanced and i feel it wasn't the same, anyway is the best show from the 90's

But what I didnt like is that he was the one who cheated and crushed her heart and it was clear she still loved him but shes the one who went over there confessing her undying love for him and he just stood there till she got close to him then he kissed her
No, he tried to get her back on the day they went fishing before they started college. She told him know bc she was scared it would ruin the friendship that they had established post-breakup. He totally wanted her and tried to get it to happen earlier!

I never understood how Brenda was able to forgive and continue her friendship with Kelly. And not only for having messed with Dylan, but for hiding her feelings and lying so much and so long. She used everything that Brenda told her, to reach Dylan. After that, how can you trust her anything again? I also remember how Kelly told Dylan "I always wanted" you. Dylan of course didn't act well either, but I have always considered that it is easier to find a man than a good friend.
I think this should've ended at season 7. It started getting really stupid in season 8. And the show was about the Walshes, and by the end none of them were on anymore.
The show should ended like that, brenda and dylan reunite for life.

This show was Brenda. I loved everything about her. i watched the show religiously and went to the mall to buy everything she wore. I didn't do that with the rest of the cast. Same with Charmed, the minute she left the show was not the same.

This was a great way to end the 4th season. It explains on season 5 why Dylan was on drugs i felt like after Brenda left it took a toll on him with that and his other personal problems. To me Dylan and Brenda were the best couple.
Been feeling so badly for Dyl after this. Season 5 (at least in the beginning) is nothing but heartbreaking for him.
They had amazing chemistry but I always felt that this scene was off.

I appreciate this very last scene we got with them but I do agree. I felt it was more 'off' coming from Luke's end and I suspect by this point tensions were high offscreen & Shannen not coming back was probably known. Luke seemed as if he was pushing through their last scene together which made Dylan come off a bit detached|aloof considering he was reconnecting with Brenda and they just shared an awesome scene full of chemistry in an episode not too long before, Vital Signs (ie. Walsh Kitchen scene). Given that, I did expect a bit more here.

And I do agree that Dylan should have been the one declaring his love, or at least chiming in in agreement! Brenda was doing all the work. I wonder if the writers did that as a last “screw you” to Shannen.

The executive producers Charles Rosin said that the character that the writers like to write most was Brenda (Shannen) because she never complained or change the script and was the only one who delivered their lines good. Even when they change something in the script at last moment she knew how to delivered it. She had a photogenic memory and most of the cast hated that. So there was some jealousy towards her too.

If you don't watch after this ep they could've ended up together in our minds. I'm glad the final ep was off them making love. We can re write the story as Brenda returning to Beverly Hills after her London trip and she and Dylan living happily ever after.
They DID end up together. After Dylan's wife Tony was killed off in Season 6- he takes off on Motorcycle- then went to England and got back together with Brenda offscreen.
