- In this video I go over the process of installing our coilover kit on a customers 1997 F350.

These 9th gen Ford super duty's were the pinnacle of Ford design. They haven't nor will they ever make a better looking truck and both the diesel engine and that 7.5L 460 big block were awesome choices! And what other manufacturer has had a 30 year production run on an engine like the Ford 7.5L 460? *NOT A ONE!* Look at what's still being done with them! Naturally aspirated 1100 horsepower and over 930 pound feet of torque! That engine could go on another 30 year run starting today! Oh and that 7.3L diesel can reliably be pushed today to 700 horsepower and 12-1300 pound feet of torque - that's reliable everyday work! *FUGHETTABOUTIT!*
Thanks to Jon over at Carrick Customs for making these kits and for the installation on our truck. Our truck is full on AMAZING now. Off road this truck is a monster and the fox suspension system makes it so fun and easy to adjust depending on the road conditions. On the pavement the truck is so responsive and hugs the road making it a pleasure to drive. No more bucking in the cab when any type of road bump shows up. Definitely recommended this for any OBS owner who’s interested in updating their trucks overall performance and handling on any type of road condition. Never before was I going to do 50 on dirt roads! Now its rad to hit the throttle and get this going on dirt at 50!

Awesome video.👌 Two things I'd like to mention... not being judgy, but it would have been nice to see a closeup, final of everything installed. The music was too loud. I had to adjust the volume up when you talked, and down when the music started several times. Headphone wearers understand the struggle! 😆

Do you remove the stock sway bars completely or put aftermarket ones back on I cannot seem to find an answer on removing the sway bars do you need them?
With the radius arm setup we remove the factory front sway bar and run it without a sway bar in the front but we keep the sway bar in the rear. Radius arms essentially use the axle housing as "sway bar"
Is there a big difference between the MD Kustomz kit and Carrick? Does this kit allow for a lift to be factored in? I am at the point with my project where I was set on the SKY RSK all the way around, then the MD Kustomz kit was recommended and then I come across this kit, and I am certain I'm going coils instead of RSK. Been building trucks for years and got away from it while I was raising a family and now I'm back with these awesome options available.
We don't have any experience with that kit but ours has been thoroughly tested and performs really well
Do you add any cross over support to the shock mounts? Now that the mounts are actually carrying the load.
So, could this be used on a Bullnose F150 as well?
My dually 7.3 is really jumpy is that a sign of bad shocks or leaf springs ?
Could this kit be used on a leaf axle going under a factory coil spring frame?

Does that kit work on a 2002 Ford F-350 Powerstroke?
No it does not but we hope to offer a kit for the 99-04 Super Duty's at some point.

Why would a person go with a blue top instead of a red top. What’s the difference between the two of them that makes one over the other a better choice
They are both nice steering boxes but we have had better luck with the Bluetop over Redhead.

Does the turning radius improve any?
No it does not, unless you currently have a limited turning radius due the tires rubbing on the leafs.

Can this kit be used on a f150 obs when swapping to a straight axle
Yes it can if you are using a Dana 60 from an 86-97 F350

What happens to the bearings in that area when you preheat to 450?
We pull the carrier before preheating the diff and then replace the wheel seals so that nothing happens to the bearings😉
Does this kit work with a king pin dana60? And with an 85 chasis?
Yes it will work with both of those.
Can I use that system on my 1989 full size bronco 4x4?
Yes you can as long as you are installing a Dana 60 front axle in it

How do you like the blue top!
I really like them! I have not had a single issue with a Blue Top and have even swapped out some other color topped steering boxes for the Blue Top ;)
Jon suggested the Blue Top over Red Head and thus far i am finding it to be a great update from stock for sure. Happy with the performance of the BlueTop, smooth with good engagement. Amazing to have the truck steering fine tuned.

No, but we plan on developing a suspension kit for the 99-04 SD's down the road
Whatsize coil overs ?
These are Fox 2.5" x 10" coil overs
Do you have a 2 wheel drive kit for a 1 ton
You can use this kit to convert a 2wd truck to a 4wd but we do not have anything for keeping a truck 2wd right now
