This is a wonderful day - i really thought you might have permanently moved on from youtube, or maybe the medical challenges had become too overwhelming to vlog about, and yet you always remained in my heart. And today you have returned!!!!!!!! Videos of any length, any topic, any creative format would be SO PRECIOUS!!!!!!! Medical updates, clothing finds, crafts, day-in-the-life, favorite medical aids, poems, recommended products - you name it - will be considered gifts from our dear and wonderful christina. Oh, happy day!!!!!!!
I just SCREAMED when I got the notification that you uploaded! Been following you from the beginning and you inspired me to document my chronic illness journey on here! Girl we don’t care if the video is fancy, we’re here for you!
YES!!! it's so great to see you. Amazing you're doing death doula work...before you said that, I was going to comment, I think you'd make a great therapist! I still think you would, there is something about your voice, your disposition and then the combination of trauma you've experienced plus emotional maturity you've developed...you are a gift to so many, even if it's just sharing your journey here. You bring much comfort. My goodness, I'm really sorry to hear all you've been going through. It sounds like hell. I'm glad you're still able to do your art, you're very talented. I'm so glad you have that 'fight' in you. Thank you for updating. Much love from NYC.
I never leave any comments on any social media, but I'm just so happy to see you back! It's really like seeing an old friend. Your smile made my day! 🥰
You were such a beacon in the darkness when my daughter first was diagnosed 7 years ago. She is now thriving and will finish college soon. Your words of encouragement and knowledge helped so much. So glad you are back!
I’ve been watching your channel for years and I’ve always been amazed by how complex your health is. I’m thrilled to hear that you’re managing your cptsd and that your recent surgeries have been beneficial. That’s amazing. I hope things continue in a positive direction for you and your family. So glad to see you back again. Don’t put any pressure on yourself to film. You’ve got enough on your plate.
More than the video, it’s just great to see that you’re doing better these days! I’ve followed you for many years now, including on Instagram during your hiatus, and it’s always a joy and a relief to see you having the freedom to enjoy yourself. I still have a rainbow you made hanging on my wall - it’s been through several moves with me over the past four years but has always been proudly displayed. Although ableist society makes it unsafe to go out, know that there are those of us out here who still mask and still care. And we haven’t all lost interest in long form media, either! Congratulations on your return to RUclips! ❤❤❤
Your videos have been so helpful over the years; I still go back from time to time to re-watch. (Long live long-form content!) Welcome back, Christina--it's good to see you back and doing okay!
Follow-up, congratulations on your death doula journey! DD work/11th hour work is so rewarding. I miss doing it myself, and I love that you're doing it now!
Because of this ANGEL, I am surviving now. I knew and prayed for you to come back. Thank you for the jump. I wish one day I could be your friend. I would love to send you a piece of art. Thank you so so much.
It's wonderful to see you in a video again, and how far you've come. Plenty of hard things, but also so much art and a new calling to support people who are dying. I'm glad you didn't give up.
Thanks for the update, and I hope things will be less chaotic for you and that you'll feel better. Don't worry about an upload schedule. People are subscribed and will get the notification whenever you're able to make a video. Just focus on your needs, but always know that you have a supportive community here! :) I had a gallbladder experience with my EDS, where I the pain was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. It turned out my gallbladder was close to rupturing.
I love that you're doing so much healing and growth, I've thought about you frequently through the last few years. I have given up on quarentine life because people around me can't live like that, but I've had Covid 6 times in the 18 months since I've been out of quarrentine.
Welcome back! Im so glad youre back to posting. I find your voice and "story telling" style very soothing and love long videos. honestly this one was on the short side considering the time that has passed and all you have been through Dont limit yourself, tell your story, take your time. You have been through alot and i know alot of us would love to listen to your experiances in more detail and would gladly sit through long videos. Keep holding on and im so happy youre feeling better ❤
I am so happy to see you are back on RUclips. Every now and then I would click on your channel to see if you had any new videos. Really glad to see you are doing great. Welcome back.
Welcome back! Been following on Facebook and Instagram as I was able. Are you aware of the Walk for Victory returning to Boston this year? Maybe we as a community can figure out a way to bring back the Connective Tissue Conditions support meetings after the pandemic and Jon stepping back from organizing things. I have Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, had two heart surgeries, two eye surgeries, and a neck fusion. While I haven’t faced the same complications, I have also faced many doctors and my own family and friends questioning my health issues, for instance I have the opposite issue with CSF pressure but few doctors that are willing to accept the complicated nature of LDS- neurology saying that I couldn’t have a CSF leak spontaneously, pain management calling my refusal of spinal or neck injections ‘drug seeking’, and trying to get braces and other care items covered by insurance. Glad to see you back on RUclips and thanks for sharing so much!
So glad you’re back. You are actually the reason I searched for a doctor who could diagnose EDS (you and Jaquie, may she rest in peace). It changed my life when I found your videos probably 7-8 years ago now?
I’m so happy to have an update, I feel like I am re-conecting with an old friend. I’ve been watching your videos for years, I was a med student at the time and now I am a full fledged physician waiting to begin my masters degree. You have no idea how much your videos motivated me to keep trying my best, be it at school or the hospitals, since then I’ve also been able to receive an AuDHD diagnosis. Just wanted you to know how much your videos inspired me to study hard and always treat ppl with care and empathy. Love you ❤
I am SO PROUD OF YOU! That is AMAZING news!!!! Congratulations! Sounds like you have been working so hard. I actually was diagnosed with ADHD actually and it makes a little of sense now that I look back. I was honestly totally blindsided until I finally understood. Thank God for my patient neuropsych. He was the greatest!
Welcome back! My daughter has EDS, POTs, etc, etc similar to you. I have been missing your video’s, as much of your journey we have taken a few steps behind you. The creators who share have been inspirational for us, so Thank you!
Welcome back!! 🌻❤ i feel like EDS is like a personalized mystery box that sends complications at whim. Like, “surprise! Happy Wednesday! You can’t swallow now” lol.
it's so good to see you back, and i can't wait to see more of you again, how ever much or little you post! it's lovely to see you doing so well with your art and your new found working as a death doula, sending you so much love!!💖💖💖💖
You have been through the unfathomable and yet you are here giving to not only us but others dealing with end-of-life issues. I am just agog. I hope and pray that new medical developments become available to more successfully treat and even cure the medical issues you combat daily.
I started watching you 9 years ago after my open heart surgery and always loved all your vlogs. I have thought about you over the last couple years and am so glad that you’re back! Looking forward to your next video!
💃🏻🎉Our girl is back! Christina, ive always felt a strong connection to you, and have always prayed for you... But for some reason, you were my first thought when i woke up yesterday evening, and you just kept popping into my heart while i was studying all night. I get on RUclips this morning, and there's our gorgeous Christina! That's just wild! Dude, im so stinkin' proud of you! You are such a fighter and inspiration! And you do a great job making videos, so cast off those insecurities, we are here for YOU! Sending you and your awesome fam big hugs, love, and prayers always 🤍🙏🕊
Christina, oh my goodness! It is so great to see you back on RUclips again. You have been missed so much. We've messaged back and forth on Facebook several times during your time away. You have, undoubtedly, been through so much over these last 4 years. But, you are constantly a huge source of strength for me in dealing with my own medical issues. I am preparing to undergo my first spinal laminectomy and fusion of my L4, L5 and S1 on Friday, May 31, 2024. To say I am a bit scared and anxious is an understatement. I have been in a considerable amount of progressively increasing pain in my lower back and hips over the last 3-5 years. So, this surgery seems like my only option now as I have exhausted so many others. You are continuously in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you the very best always. I am truly looking forward to seeing any new videos you post here in the near future. Love you lots, my friend!
Welcome back!! Missed you ❤ Love long form vlogs btw 🤩 What a lovely, honest video. Been following on IG so I'm mostly caught up, but to see you be able to talk about this... I'm in awe. Medical ptsd is a beast and you could have just given up - but you didn't! You are a frickin' badass. And I love that you still have faith and have taken the education/begun working as a death doula. Sending you all my love- as always❤❤❤
I actually learned about EDS from your videos and feeling a lot of things were familiar to me, I visited some doctors about it was actually diagnosed with hEDS at the end of 2019. So thank you for making EDS more visible 💙 Looking forward to watching the video
Your video's are perfect the way are, I like that they are longer than reels! And don't mind your editing, we are just beyond happy to see you again!! Thank you for posting again!! 🥰 You helped me immensely over the years!! Sorry to hear things have been so rough on you, sending you a lot of good wishes and strength!!
We're happy to see you back and doing better. Thank you for all of your videos without them i wouldn't have been able to navigate through mine and my daughters' heds, mcas, dysautonomia issues as well as we have. I would have felt so lost and overwhelmed. Love you Christina ❤
