- In this video we have a look at our new carbon fibre effect bonnet vinyl wrap for our project Range Rover Sport L320. We decide in the end to remove the washer jets to make it easier.
This is for sale on our website :- PowerfulUK.com/catalogsearch/result?q=vnl286 Авто/Мото
Yes, I completely agree to removing the washer jet then cut a hole, this will be a lot cleaner around the washer jet area. Hope you do more upgrades for the L320 Range Rover, there are plenty in the US.
Thank you for bringing my car back into play i think your right taking out washers You may consider that for the A Posts including back Hatch post I have just done mine I think it looks good
Wet fingers help to not get marks on the glue side and fingers sticking to the vynil
Good tip thanks !
+1 for the L322
Any plans to do one of these (carbon effect) for a D2
Simon, I completely agree that taking the washer jets out is the right way to go. Any plans to sell this for the L322?
I agree, the washer jets look naff with the bit of colour round them - much better, as you said, is to remove the washer jets and have the vinyl without the jet holes - then, when fitted, make small holes for the jets so they are fitted back on top of the vinyl. Will look much better.
Hi John - Yes it seemed a good idea at the start... but we soon realised it was not such a good idea - both from looks and ease of fitment.
Cant you remove the water jets ,and make a hole under the bonnet to replace Jets ?
Freelander 2 as well please. 👍👍
You made two samples I will be happy to buy the other one/...? 🙏
Agree with washer jet removal. Can the wrap be made slightly longer so that it tucks under the rear of the bonnet?
Thats an interesting idea...the carbon film would probably be OK but the matt black film may be too stiff.
I would like to see one for a discovery 3.
They already sell one for D3 and D4. See previous videos
Hi Simon. How about starting the application of the wrap at the washer jet end. Stretch of the material will be a lot less. ?.
Interesting idea...it would be easier to line up too at the rear.
@@L663 worth trying I think
What’s that engine in the workshop?
TDV6 with broken crank ! need to do front cambelt and rear pump belt video... out of the car for better visibility
+2 for L322
Noted
Was that Julian that entered the workshop during time lapse?
Yes although i thought i cut him out !
@@L663 Whatever for? Is he a persona non grata??! :-D
@@rafflesnh No I am just not sure he knew he was being filmed....but yes this is Julian or "King Julian" as we call him.... Julian heads up all the new product design CAD and 3D printing etc.
Hi 🙋
👍👌🙏🙏
Hello 😊
Change it , it’ll look cleaner
When removing clips etc. why not cover the engine with a sheet. saves losing clips etc in to the engine "black hole"! LOL
That is a good idea.
You should NEVER use water with wrap vinyl, the adhesive has small channels in to let air out. Just hope it doesn’t freeze while you e left water in the air channel’s. And Why are you using cheap KPMF vinyl???? Would be far easier and much better results with 3M or Avery vinyl.
Knifeless tape.....
