YES!!!!! THEY ARE FREAKING GREAT, AND I LOVE HER VOICE, SO GLAD I FOUND THEM - LISTEN TO THIS SONG!!!!! EVERYBODY: TGEY HAVE HARDLY NO SUBSCRIBERS ON THEIR CHANNEL- FLOOD THEIR PAGE!!!! "BEACON STREET BAND"
Reminds me of better days in my life, childhood growing up in the 90's, things were slower, people closer, nostalgia, family. So inspiring, this song!!! Fall leaves, travel, brisk winter in the city, romance! Beautifiul song and her voice is so comforting!!!!! Hope she goes national and international!
To me it means to hang on, tread lightly on your feet, temper your metal, pivot when there is pain, find a way. When times are tough, turn on your light saber. Be bold, survive.
I know this video is 6 years old and I just found it. I LOVE this version with the strings and piano accompaniment. The arrangement is classy and elegant. With no drums or heavy guitar, it spotlighted the sultry voice of the artist. I only wish this was the full extended version. It's an empowering song of encouragement and the way it was sung it was even more so!
The original by The New Radicals is on mine and my daughter's traveling playlist, one of our favorite songs, then I heard this version on the commercial and told her about it, and on the drive from Raleigh, NC to Jacksonville, FL she found it... what a perfect trip
Finally! I had to find out who sings this cover but didn't think I ever would after my initial web searches and Shazam came up with nothing. Saw the commercial again today and thought I'd give Shazam another try even though I was 99.9% positive it wouldn't work. I was wrong! Commercials should just show the name of the artist and song they use to save us from all this trouble.
Wake up We've got the dreamers disease Age fourteen we got you down on your knees So polite, you're busy still saying please But when the night is falling You cannot find the light You feel your dreams are dying Hold tight You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give Four a.m. we ran a miracle mile We're flat broke, But hey we do it in style The bad rich God's flying in for your trial But when the night is falling You cannot find a friend You feel your tree is breaking Just then You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give We only get what we give ooh Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give Don't let go I feel the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you Don't give up This world is gonna pull through
Why did you leave out the part where it says frienemies who when you’re down ain’t your friends? That is an important part That is where the laughter comes from Or is that the reason this version sounds so sad Did someone get hurt ...besides me??
Took me less than 5 minutes to find this song, once I heard it in the commercial I had hear the whole song. I like this version better than the original.
This is one of my all time favorites by the New Radicals! When I heard this version for the first time I was blown away and so excited that someone breathed new life into this old classic! I JUST LOVE IT!!! Thank you ♡♡♡
To me it means to hang on, tread lightly on your feet, temper your metal, pivot when there is pain, find a way. When times are tough, turn on your light saber. Be bold, survive.
MsDreamscaper thanks for the respond and confirmation. Love new radicals but I gotta say I like this version much better. Raw emotion in the vocals plus the slower pace is nice.
Literally Heard this song months ago I just Loved The commercial But I was so sick of rewinding it I just Need To Listen To The Whole Song So my Smart Nephew is like hey auntie if you Hold your screen On Snapchat the song a catch it and pop up lol I am absolutely in love with song 🥰
Maybe you are hearing the New Radicals version. Whatever this reminds me of has to do with this female's voice. Something else she may have sung. It doesn't matter, I just love this.
The original version of this is my absolute favorite song of all time. This version is so beautiful! I have tried to Shazam this numerous times, during the commercial, and it finally came up and sent me here. I really need to find a way to download this.
She makes it sound so sad This is affecting me because I was in major pandemonium two years ago, and I was listening to it again after the first time it came out. And it meant something to me then. Even two years ago, it was still cheerful. But I was in denial of something that hurt me deeply, and I lashed out viciously. Hearing it this way makes me wonder ...did I hit what I was aiming at? Either way, it’s over
Like many of you did I search hours even days and weeks to find this song ...such an inspirational piece!you never know what a person is going through it's not just about getting the degrees but it's about conquering the impossible in life and never giving up! Keep pushing and ever ascending and progressing!
And that's exactly why I love this song! The single mom working full time struggling with Bipolar... The woman in the commercial captures how those roadblocks have felt, and I know what the triumph feels like after. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, but the full song brought me to tears. I hear it urging me on and refusing to allow me to quit. I said all that to say, you're right and I agree with you, lol. Take care!
@@hersheydelphia To me it means to hang on, tread lightly on your feet, temper your metal, pivot when there is pain, find a way. When times are tough, turn on your light saber. Be bold, survive.
Searched for this song for 3 weeks from a commercial finally found....awesome her spirit definitely speaks through this song. You Mackenzie have Just saved many lives😘😘😘
Great song to promote real people wanting to finish their degrees. If this commercial reaches one person to do so then I think it was a success. And I praise all the single parents or working people wanting to get their degrees. Keep up the hard work.
Mack has a cool voice like Nora Jones Which draws you into the song, as if you are part of the song. Thank you for Being Part of the UOP Family .. Much

That Commercial led me to discover the New Radicals and GA, what an amazing journey and the Songs, so heart touching to find so many masterpieces written by Gregg Alexander... this world needs these kinds of songs to point out what we need to call bourgeiouse... so that this world can pull through...
OK I know I have said something but she is an angel and I have listened to this song 5000 times and I still love it I mean if you don't like it that's your opinion but I love this song so much I can't stop saying it I have listened to this song so much that I know the full song and the words to girl you are the best singer ever when I grow up I want to be like you 😁😊😀😄
Great choice of soundtrack for the University of Phoenix. Like most of the posters I have seen the commercial and it grew on me. Googled and found it! Have the New radicals Version but had flashbacks of Carol King days! Yes I am that old. Checking if this on AppleMusic Yet.
I think its more than one commercial because I discovered it about 3 years ago from a college commercial I think. Its been so long I can barely remember it,but I know it was something about continuing education.

I keep soundhound up whenever I watch tv...my playlist are songs I've found playing in the background of TV shows, movies and commercials!

Wake up
We've got the dreamers disease
Age fourteen we got you down on your knees
So polite, you're busy still saying please
But when the night is falling
You cannot find the light
You feel your dreams are dying
Hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
Four a.m. we ran a miracle mile
We're flat broke,
But hey we do it in style
The bad rich
God's flying in for your trial
But when the night is falling
You cannot find a friend
You feel your tree is breaking
Just then
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
We only get what we give
ooh
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
Don't let go
I feel the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
Don't give up
This world is gonna pull through
Thank you for the lyrics, love the song.

Thanks, was looking for lyrics 🥰👍
Why did you leave out the part where it says frienemies who when you’re down ain’t your friends?
That is an important part
That is where the laughter comes from
Or is that the reason this version sounds so sad
Did someone get hurt ...besides me??
Such a BEAUTIFUL voice!!!! The commercial brought me here as well lol
This song got me thinking about life. College in general.
Me too, esp. With leaves falling, old buildings, romance.
Omg they killed this song. I love the University of Phoenix for their commercial. I rewind it just to hear the song. I LOVE THIS VERSION!! 😍😍😍😍
Great cover! It feels hopeful.
Thank GOD for Shazam! Don't even remember what the commercial was about. Her voice singing this song took me somewhere. Luv it!!
Sometimes, commercials are worth listening too...especially when they sound this good 👍.
Love this! Also searched for it from the commercial!!!
That darn commercial! But it made me feel happy, especially during these times.
That U of Phoenix commercial lured me to search for this song. That voice is unique.
I love this song....and yes the commercial is where I heard it......it is just one of those songs that goes straight to my heart.....

Is this the cover from that new commercial?? Either way the female vocalist sounds great and Thanks for the upload
You're welcome and thank you. Yes, this is the cover from the University of Phoenix commercial.
MsDreamscaper thanks for the respond and confirmation. Love new radicals but I gotta say I like this version much better. Raw emotion in the vocals plus the slower pace is nice.
I can’t stop listening to this. And I’m close to tears every time I replay it. Gorgeous arrangement, so much love in the performance.

I came here because of the commercial
Me too! :)
I dug hearing this in the University of Phoenix commercial not realizing I have it by the New Radicals. They're different but both are good.
I liked this song when the New Radicals came out with it but I just love this rendition. It reminds me of something...don't know what.
cuesticks1 I keep hearing something similar to this in my head but a man is singing it. Is it the same with you
Maybe you are hearing the New Radicals version. Whatever this reminds me of has to do with this female's voice. Something else she may have sung. It doesn't matter, I just love this.
It reminds me of Todd Rundgren, some song from one of his albums. Definitely.
Definitely which Todd Rundgren????? He was here a couple of weeks ago. Played at our Fair. Check out Ane Brun, Don't Leave and see what you think.
cuesticks1 Adele "Chasing Pavements"?
It took me so long to find this song. I've been looking for it since I first saw the University of Pheonix commercial.
Poignant!
SHE SHOULD BE A NATIONAL NAME!!!!! INTERNATIONAL.With ppl and voices like hers, world and humanity will be just fine!
Awesome cover. So excited I finally found it lol!
Such a great voice, I searched to find out who sings this in the University of Phoenix commercial. She needs to make this available as a remix
The original version of this is my absolute favorite song of all time. This version is so beautiful! I have tried to Shazam this numerous times, during the commercial, and it finally came up and sent me here. I really need to find a way to download this.

Jason Wei, is it the voice of an acute, right, or obtuse angle? Did you have a specific degree of angle in mind?
Gary Brittleboon lmao
