The thing that starts to talk is a ETC (electronic toll card). There is a lot of tolls in Tokyo etc. and with that you just have to slow down at a toll booth and it register the amount automatically, instead of stop and pay with cash/card. The card in the reader is linked to a bank account of your choice. The voice is basically telling you to insert a card. =)
Speaking of welding I'm doing this welding school right now at oxarc and I thought for sure once I looked at the test I was going to fail it no matter what did a whole ton of practice and came a welding zombie and somehow got enough confidence to do the test did the test they tested it / bended it I passed I for sure thought that it was not going to work but it did so now I only have to do the overhead and then I'm fully certified but I will say " WITH enough practice YOU will create perfection"
Back in high school days I dreamt of a Black GC wagon.. this thing is awesome.. loving the build. Currently have a blue GC8 sedan with all the STI goodies. Kinda wish it was in a wagon though haha.

I love the Evo, but DAMN that WRX exhaust sounds mint!! Loving this build so far. The GC8/GM8 is my favorite Subie body style, so this GF8 wagon is sweet too.
Go Fast Bits 50/50 leaks just FYI. Youd be better off going to speed density and running a real BOV. With a turbo upgrade you should really think about a protune with all the changes. The smoke is due to it the air fuel being wonky. Any intake or exhaust changes on a subi needs to be tuned for. Keep her ALIVE!!!

Your issue with starting the car may just be a check ball in the fueling system that holds pressure in the fuel rails. If it sticks open the fuel leaks back down and every time you start it the fuel pump has to prime the fuel system again. From what I've found, the fix is just driving it a lot

I have a 2014 Nissan Juke she's got a turbo on the mr16ddt. But I've done a Injen SRI, Turbosmart 50/50 Diverter Valve, and a Fast Religion Muffler Delete Straight Pipe. Sounds good. But I highly recommend a 50/50 BOV Evan.
When the Evo starts she says "Please insert the card", It's for toll roads and uses a special credit card that charges you as you go through toll booths, skipping the manual pay lanes.
I would be careful about driving it without a tune, especially since you've got a downpipe and header on there now. If you are sticking with the JDM ECU, you need to find someone who can do open source tuning for that car, otherwise you can get a USDM ECU and get that on there, then use an AccessPort (WAY more tuners that can deal with this). You know, im not a fan of UELH but Tomei makes some good products and that header creates just enough rumble and sounds incredible.

cut the bottom half of the turbo heatshield off. Makes it easy to install/remove and keep the chimney cooling / heatshielding.

have an FP Blue in my STi, made 454/430 on e78 pretty easily, JRTuned pushed an FP Blue in the same GF chassis as yours to 530whp!

Swap out the oil pan and pickup tube . Killer bee makes a great kit . It will to keep the engine safe from oil starvation
