He should have put the couple hundred back in the register after the girl was gone, then they would have known it wasn't her, and they still wouldn't know it was him. Granted, they probably still wouldn't have rehired her, but still a good idea I think.
He probably did just that but the damage was done. The company needed a fall guy.
then the till would have been over. it wouldnt have shown the money was put back
tills dont say where the money came from. its cash in a drawer that is counted and then the total sales for the day will leave a remaining total for the till after closing every till is counted BEFORE a shift starts and is tracked in the system. if a few hundred bucks randomly appeared in a till SOMEONE would still be in trouble because tills over and under are no good. the till would be way off and it wouldnt be able to tell where it came from
@@kasualbeauty309 a quicker and easier explanation would be the managers know the 200 was missing so they would balance it, if 200 was added then it would be over the next time so they would look into the rest of the employees and possibly another innocent person would have been fired.
