It is said that life is but a mist, visible for a short while before disappearing completely. Many a poet have weaved a wreath of words regarding this sad, and inevitable, fact of our existence.
Here, I would like to share an excerpt from a poem by Edgar Poe called ‘Spirits of the Dead’, that speaks about this mystery in a beautiful way:

I'm walking without an umbrella in the park where the rain is thinly pierced.When I passed under lanterns in the dark ,a mist hunted even my shadow.I see puppy that even the a trees don't protect. It's shaky and wet .I dry it self with my scarf and wrap it around.It 's comfortable in my coat now. We walkin' home so fastly.....
