- I couldn't find a clear explanation of how it works and how to put it together even though it is super simple. So I decided to make this video and help a bit.
This is what I used:

AWESOME VIDEO!!!!! Thanks so much for this in depth explanation! I needed it:)
I'm glad it helped Andy!
This helped a lot, I was given this same boost controller to use and I was wondering how the hell you mount it 🤔😆
Thanks for sharing the install!
I have the same boost controller like the one that you have.. I have different eclipse engine unlike what you have on the video.... pls post a test video for this boost controller...thanks for sharing
I will. I have one in each car. Will post a little test boosting up and down
Very well explained thank you
Hello, many people have installed with two vents one on the top of wastegate and one from the boost controller. But, in your installation there is only one vent that is through the boost controller. Which one is better? I have a mitsubishi evo with wastegate of 1bar spring.
The boost controller should've come with a manual but both of my cars now I have the block between the boost controller and the wastegate. Wastegate unused ports are shut. The boost controller top port is the vent. I let it disconnected. I hope it helps 👍
By block you mean the T which is provided with the boost controller?
@@zuluzmk yep 👍
Well explained but what did you do with the upper plug/fitting on the controller?
That is venting to the atmosphere 👍
Do you need to tune the car after installing a manual boost controller or can you drive it as is?
Well if your car is tuned to let's say 5 psi and you install it and set to be at 10 psi.. your car will need to know how much fuel and timing to set between 5 and 10 psi. So... Probably yes if you increase the current voost
What about if the turbo don’t have the plug? My is 420a but doesn’t have that plug in the turbo, how I installed?
By the plug you mean where you put the vacuum/pressure line?
If yes you can either get it from somewhere else or drill a hike and tap to read it then install that connector.
Car Mods Garage I will try, another question is did you make a video to how install turbo timer on 420a? I have apexi, can you make it ?
Have you test it? The line will melt at the hot side.Does this method work?
The vacuum line melted a bit even with the thermal protection. I suspended a but with brackets and added a better thermal protection to the lines. So far so good
@@CarModsGarage thank you for the fast reply I need very fine adjustment from 0.59 to 0.70 bar can this controller make it?Open or closed need to be to mach the wastgate spring boost?
@@alexandermanov6872 I can't tell how fine it in rises or decreases the boost. It can double the spring rate so 7 psi can be anything between 7psi to 14psi
I got a question, what if my car already got a ecu reflashed, will this works ?? No??
The boost controller will. The difference is that the more boost you add you end up going to a different area on your fuel table. You need to be sure you reflash has that part tuned already.
@@CarModsGarage ahh idk abt that but im sure the tuner gave me the maximum mapping. 😔
@@CarModsGarage welp will it overboost my turbo?? Im still new to these stuffs 😅
@@zhangchengyi717 no worries. You might have a wastegate on your care which controls max boost you can have. This will double that max boost. In short if you wastegate has a 7lb spring you should be able to go all the way to 14 lb. If this over posts your turbo I don't know but it can definitely give you more boost than you car can handle
@@CarModsGarage aighttt i see, well sad to say that i cant run over 1.4 bar, 1.5 is my maximum, btw thanks for the info mate i'll sub you right away
What are your other plans for the car?
Wrap the car, maybe put nitro
What way do you turn it to turn up the boost
Oh man I have no idea. I think the more you tighten the less but I don't know really
I need help with my aem fic6 tuning 420a turbo
what are the injectors you are running? Have you wired yet?
@@CarModsGarage yes wired is all set,car starts, 750cc
@@cuzrocks5002 I'm learning also. Whatcha the two videos I got configuring it. Get some values but once you put it there you will need to change the injectors size from 1100 to 750 and I think you will get the good values. I'm about to go back running so more videos to come.
You always look into the air fuel mixture gauge to be sure you doesn't explode your engine if it runs too lean.
@@CarModsGarageawsome,thanks a lot for answer me back,i had it tuned for couple years but some how i lost the tune when i got work done to the car,so i had to reflash aem to start all over sucks lol,,i want to mess around but scare i blow my engine lol
@@CarModsGarage the afr gauge # right now is around 11.4 and 12 just idle
how does it work? open up turbo pounds?
So the turbo has a vacuum line that connects to the wastegate. The wastegate had a spring that has a rating let's say 7 pounds of boost. When your turbo boosts over the amount of the spring rate (7pounds on this example) the wastegate will open and let the air go through a different pipe. The dump pipe.
After all of that we can make the car make more boost with the boost controller. In short what it does is it let's some air scape from the vaccum line that comes from the turbo "lying" the correct amount of boost to the wastegate. So if you open the boost controller a little bit and it let's scape 3 pounds of boost your turbo would make 10 pounds of boost before letting the air scape from the wastegate.
Does it answer your question?
@@CarModsGarage Full open provides the lowest wastegate spring pressure and closed will provide maximum spring in lib.?
@@CarModsGarage thankssssss💪💪💪💪💪
@@angelautotint100879 The way I put it together on this video if it totally closed it will push all the bust back into the spring and it will boost forever. DON'T leave it closed all the way :).
If you leave it open all the way then it will rely on the spring rate to open since there is no force coming from the top.
I changed the setup. Watch my other video and see if you can take anything from it. Much easier ruclips.net/video/dZliIhPjzOM/видео.html
@@angelautotint100879 thanks for the sub by the way!
Does it reduce turbo lag?
No it doesn't. It just prevents the turbo from putting more pressure than you want. Set it in a way that the top psi is 15 for example and it won't pass 15:psi
A ECU compensa ate certo ponto. Se voce tiver aftermarket ECU ai voce controla quanto manda de combustivel.

Yes it is @carmodsgarage everything I make goes there first.
Car Mods Garage alright cool I have some questions about dsm can I message you?
@@youngfoxguy7553 yes of course you can. What's up?

This does not need too be 11 minutes long..
I agree with you brother. Sometime I get carried over on what could be important and end up making a longer video than necessary. 🙂
