And he didn't pass despite displaying just about every single trait that Shikamaru passed because of.

Keep in mind that Naruto also uses his immense chakra reserves to suppress Kurama. So you could argue that base Naruto without the tailed beast inside him would be more powerful at this point of the story. Probably wouldn’t do half as bad at the academy either

Naruto has 4x the amount of Chakra as Kakashi in part 1 and that only increases drastically by the War Arc. The whole 100x Chakra is actually a statement towards how much Chakra Naruto would have if he had full access to Kurama's Chakra. And Not to Mention that the Seal had a leak in it on purpose so Kurama's Chakra would seep into Naruto and Permanently increase his Chakra reserves over Time. This means that if Naruto didn't have Kurama, He'd actually have a lot less Chakra in his base form too. On the flip side However. Naruto's Chakra Control would be considerably better from the start which would mean he can use it much more efficiently. Using less of it and easier to get results. This means he would have easily passed the Academy Clone test and He would probably have learnt the Rasengan at about the same speed. (He wouldn't be able to Clone Spam like that. But he would be able to pick up more info per try and it would come easier to him. He'd also be able to amp himself physically in base more. but nowhere near as much as utilizing Chakra of Kurama. The Only reason NAruto could keep getting up against Neji, Is because Kurama kept regenerating his chakra points and body. Something I don’t see in comments is that due to Neji’s perfect defense, he isn’t used to taking a hit. Naruto gets his cheeks clapped multiple times before now, so he can take a beating. Plus using Kurama tears his body apart due to the color of the chakra getting closer to blood. Hence, it takes basically two hits for Neji to go down and stay down.

Keep in mind that Naruto also uses his immense chakra reserves to suppress Kurama. So you could argue that base Naruto without the tailed beast inside him would be more powerful at this point of the story. Probably wouldn’t do half as bad at the academy either
@@TheDudeTD Naruto doesn't have more Chakra than Kurama by any means. He certainly has a massive amount though. The seal does most of the work at keeping Kurama at bay.
Naruto has 4x the amount of Chakra as Kakashi in part 1 and that only increases drastically by the War Arc.
The whole 100x Chakra is actually a statement towards how much Chakra Naruto would have if he had full access to Kurama's Chakra.
And Not to Mention that the Seal had a leak in it on purpose so Kurama's Chakra would seep into Naruto and Permanently increase his Chakra reserves over Time.
This means that if Naruto didn't have Kurama, He'd actually have a lot less Chakra in his base form too.
On the flip side However. Naruto's Chakra Control would be considerably better from the start which would mean he can use it much more efficiently. Using less of it and easier to get results.
This means he would have easily passed the Academy Clone test and He would probably have learnt the Rasengan at about the same speed. (He wouldn't be able to Clone Spam like that. But he would be able to pick up more info per try and it would come easier to him.
He'd also be able to amp himself physically in base more. but nowhere near as much as utilizing Chakra of Kurama.
The Only reason NAruto could keep getting up against Neji, Is because Kurama kept regenerating his chakra points and body.
And not to mention that it's Stated that Naruto is always using some of Kurama's Chakra. He naturally draws it. Like almost Always.

Something I don’t see in comments is that due to Neji’s perfect defense, he isn’t used to taking a hit. Naruto gets his cheeks clapped multiple times before now, so he can take a beating. Plus using Kurama tears his body apart due to the color of the chakra getting closer to blood. Hence, it takes basically two hits for Neji to go down and stay down.
