It still blows my mind that you don’t get as much PR as some creators with half of the subscribers that you have, and I mean no shade against anyone here. I guess I don’t get how PR works, but Risa is deserving of more PR. You should be so very proud of your lash launch bc you did an amazing job
Tbh, I think it's because Risa is extremely honest and doesn't push people to buy more - not saying that every single other influencer is dishonest, but there's certainly a correlation between raving about everything and getting more sponsors
Hi Risa! The K18 treatment isn’t a conditioner replacement. You can shampoo, then do K18 and leave it in for 4 minutes (it takes 4 minutes to be activate and get the benefits) then use conditioner as usual. Also, you have to use the oil on damp hair to get the benefits. I hope this helps! The K18 treatment is awesome and my fine, thin 48 yr old hair has never looked better in my life!
When you use the k18 treatment & say you use conditioner after, is it spray on/leave in conditioner? Because I thought the same as Risa-that it replaces conditioner as you’re not supposed to rinse out the k18??! Thanks in advance for any info

Risa, your videos are a must watch for me. I learn so much from you despite the fact that I am 15 years older than you and have dry skin. I have hooded eyes and your techniques have changed everything for me. I also love blush, and like you, I have so many to choose from. Your recommendations often compel me to shop. Jen Phelps did a video comparing the Colourpop 11-11 palette to the I Need a Nude . It wasn’t shade for shade but there were enough colors to make a beautiful look that could be considered dupes. I already had both of those palettes so I had a fun afternoon playing with the palettes and I agree with Jen.

I purchased the Natasha Dennona Xenon palette when it first came out, and in complete disclosure I LOVE IT! You are the OG of glam and this palette would be stunning on you! There are an incredible selection of finishes: sparkle, glimmer, shimmer and really multi finish mattes. The dark colors look a little scary but almost all of them sheer out if you want. I am also a blue eyed blonde girl hitting 50 who frankly became a little afraid of eyeshadow in general, I thought it made me look older, I am glad I splurged on this palette the quality and diversity has given me some confidence back. With your skills as an artist and your love of glam to me its a no brainer!! Please consider it, I PROMISE you will love it!
Xenon pallette is GORGEOUS on! So many options you can try...It gives such a high glam look. Why do people not complain when there's an all brown palette, but get cringy if its cool tones? You must add to your collection!❤❤❤
Agreed! Plus some of the colors are (or look) navy blue, and really wear well. As a collector, I think you (Risa) would really enjoy it ❤

How many of you remember “lip Venom” days 😅 I worked at Nordstrom when this launched and so many of us would put it on and wait for that stinging spicy feel to last and then go away….it was fun 🤩
I’ve noticed now that I’m closing in on 50, my skin looks much better with cream blush/bronzer/contour/highlighter instead of powders. Blending is so much easier since ditching powders!
It is so nice to see content creators mentioning each other and chatting back and forth on each other's channels- there seems to be plenty of room for everyone!

Agree with you 100% on the Smashbox vs the EL Doublewear. I’ve used the EL doublewear for years-despite not having the best shade match. The Smashbox works better for me, more skinlike finish, excellent wear.
Where I work in Canada at a drugstore, we carry Lancôme…..it has been so difficult getting this product in stock. The shades available aren’t sent with samples here …..when they do send testers….we do the shade matching. Apparently there is a tool available for this to help, but not all retailers get this I gather. I’ve come to realize that the US gets different attention from their reps than we do. It has been frustrating with social media promoting even the new Care and Glow and we barely have the product to back it up. I do love that you like this foundation and your observation on how it wears. It is good…..
SDM is upping their game on high end brands covered but if they want to be solid competitors of Sephora they need to start providing testers! Fellow 🇨🇦🇨🇦 here!

I heard another content creator talking about approaching this year boldly and unapologetically. I think it was Denise Adore. Anyway, I loved that because I am always making excuses for this or that and I'm just not going to do that anymore. It is what it is. Promote your lashes and do not apologize for it!!
Amazing that you are so close to 400k! I have been watching you since you had about 40/50k. This year I finally purchased an Hourglass palette, the octopus version. A 'wish' video of mine is 'what limited edition releases / brands are worth the leap' since, as you said, they sell out frequently before a regular viewer can see a few reviews. I don't think I will need more than the one six pan I have. I have a few singles, mostly the minis, and they too last long enough to be worth purchasing. I hope 2024 brings you joy ❤

I love the xenon palette and I don’t like greys, lol. I use it as a companion palette but I really love it that way. I use the shade Nightsky as upperlashline liner, i absolutely love Snowbow and Skift on the lid, just dabbed on for beautiful sparkle. They give such a special touch. I’ve been using mattes from the my dream palette with xenon. I use Nurture on lid and crease, Aspiration to deepen and blow out outer corners. Nightsky is stunning with these tones of browns! And skift or Snowbow look stunning with nurture and Aspiration, too! And the shade Ebb is a metallic blue. I dab that lightly in outer corner and it adds just a little bit of a blue touch that isn’t like, whoah you’re wearing blue. It’s the perfect winter look! After getting xenon I couldn’t put it down combining it with nurture and aspiration. Beat winter look ever! And Sposh is a nice easy shade to use on upperlashline. And it’s not a harsh black. And sometimes I use it on outer corner. I have used some of the grey shimmers in the lid with brown in the crease, and I like it that way much more.
And even though xenon has a bunch of great inner corner shades, I like going into the I Need A Nude palette for the shade Whisper. Try this look before winter is over! It’s a great everyday look with a touch of something special (Snowbow or skift). Xenon adds that special touch. Oh and Nightsky the metallic black is just a wonderful upper lashline liner! Love it with browns!

I thought Xenon pallette was similar to the black and gray pallette from Colourpop, but it is different, it goes well with medium color face, I'm sure you could create beautiful eye makeups with it.

Honestly I never even had Lancôme Teint Idole foundation on my radar, but I am close in age to you and have very oily skin still so I took your recommendation and WOW I Love This! Just got home from Las Vegas and wore it ALL weekend and it was fantastic! Thank you so much for representing those of us that are mature skin and oily! I wish people would stop referring to mature skin with dry skin, that is not always the case.
I totally agree with you about the haus labs concealers applicator but I look past it! It’s my everyday concealer/ base product I don’t use foundation or anything even on glam days I love it!

I love these kinds of videos. My skin is more mature. I’m 48. And my skin still has an oilier t-zone, while I’ll get a little dryness under the eyes and the outer cheek areas. So I have breakouts on the chin and I definitely need a good makeup safe for my combo skin.

I love all the products u choose, I don't have oily skin but I still like to look at what u have selected. I love lip pencils and lip sticks. I love pencils that have the tool on the other end. Just wonderful, again u look so gorgeous ❤

I love the new Teint Idole Ultra Wear reformulation! I used to use the old one as well, but I feel that this one feels more lightweight while still giving great coverage, and I'm almost 50! I leave that one for the summer though. I think the new MAC serum foundation is my new love for the colder months.
I bought 1 of those lifter plumper glosses and don't find the sting too bad at all. I bought #001 . Will be looking for that peach 🍑 next.
So pleased to see you like the YSL concealer. I picked it up before Christmas and I am really loving it. I love the applicator. You really can't over do how much you pick up.

Hi Risa! As an oily girl of 55, but with changes due to age and retinol use, what do you use for cleansing and make up removal? Also do you change it up for winter and summer? I really struggle with oil in the summer but now, dealing with sensitivity in the winter. Thank u!

I love the Xenon palette. It is a beautiful cool palette. The shades are differ and especially the textures. On me, many of the shades tend blue on me and the shimmers are definitely different. It is gorgeous

I love the essence blushes i need to try revie beauty. I don't like most lip products other than a typical balm or pencil. I'd like to find something with color that's hydrating yet pretty.

That dual sided brush I've owned for about a year now. I purchased a professional set off Amazon and it's totally IDENTICAL to the one she launched. The set I purchased used goat hairs , horse hair to synthetic. My set even had a miniature brush brush with the two sided bristles. Size is about the pad of my figure. I love that brush . The name of this brand is Bueart Design. For makeup artist. The set was big.

Hey Risa I know you are a lip girl! I don’t know if I’ve missed it cos I watch all your videos, but my go to long lasting has got to be Maybelline lip vinyl ink. Peachy especially. For a work day where u want something on your lips all day. They dont do enough wearable day time shades sadly. What’d you think ? ❤️❤️

I don’t like the heavy feel and ultra matte finish of Estée Lauder Double Wear… but I found what works for me is mixing it with the Estée Lauder Double Wear Sheer foundation.✨

Fantastic video, I have the Too Faced pink blush and the ND I need a nude palette, love them both very much.
I truly love many of the GXVE products , I love the blushes, bronzer and highlighter, the glosses are amazing and I love the brow pencil and lipsticks as well. The mascara does amazing things to my lashes but it is quite wet when you first open it, I find it works best once it’s been opened for a bit, but it’s the one I go to the most, it takes my lashes from invisible to wow…🤣🤣🤣 These are definitely my favourite purchases of 2023.
Do you find that skin type can often be the reason a foundation or concealer work better for some than others? I love the Haus Labs foundation on my dry skin but I noticed some of the influencers I watch with oily skin do not love it as much as I do. It has become my holy grail foundation, have you tried it???as I am finding as I grow older I tend to prefer a light to med coverage person on my dry skin.
So looking forward to your 2024 videos, I hope it’s a better year for you than 2023 was.

Hi! I did review it when it first came out almost a year ago. I *hated* it. I have no idea why it’s going viral now. I think LM is paying some big influencers and they just aren’t disclosing it.
@ Risa happy new year! I just purchased the Pur Cosmetics Blushing Act blush in Pretty in Peach and instantly thought of you. It’s been around forever and I finally bit the bullet to try it and it’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s a matte blush in the most beautiful peachy pink and I think you would love it! Not sure if you’ve tried it already but definitely worth it!
