B’sRACING Ben Bonfield BHC Prescott Hillclimb April 2023 Jedi Racing Car

First British Hillclimb Championship round of the year at Prescott Hill Climb and what a great weekend. It was the first time at Prescott with the Jedi for us with our only other visit being a mini day in 2021. It was a massive class with 21 drivers actually competing on the day but it would have been more if not for some unfortunate component failures and cars not being ready. Really enjoyed learning the hill and over the 6 runs I started to work out where I was happy positioning the car and have a good idea where to build from there. I really enjoyed Sunday morning practice the Jedi working well in the slippery conditions so well that it was the fastest 1100cc (it was never going to last but I’ll take it😂) Ended the weekend 8th in class out of the 21, really happy with that as a result and I know there is more time to be found. The Jedi performed really well against some of the more modern machinery only two more years and the car will be 30, would you believe it the manufacturer is 40 next year. Well done to all the class winners for fantastic drives. It was great to watch the runoffs from orchard. Well done to Bugatti Owners Club for putting on an awesome meeting. Well done to Rich Danby (HillClimb UK) for putting the livestream footage, been watching it back today and you can see how much hard work he has put in to bring the sport to the masses unable to attend in person. Huge thanks as always to the marshalling, rescue and organising teams for your hard work. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
