Perfectly matched in every way and they simply have got it all in one very scintillating package. No question that they will be a force and Polinas elegant and sophisticated beauty takes me back to another era in time. I cant believe what a monumental difference a change in partner has made in her. He is bespoke tailor made for her and she for him. As far as i'm concerned this is Latin partner dancing at its breathtaking best and what I believe the greater general non dance public would prefer to see whether in competition or shows. Interestingly there a few videos of them now and there is almost no negative comment to be found in any of them and that's rare indeed and it speaks volumes for how this partnership is being received and embraced.
Joe- I so agree with you that the quality & style of Polina’s dancing in this performance is reminiscent of another era in the most beautiful dreamy kind of way- & expresses a passion we could only imagine in a woman who has just fallen in love with a man who loves her back just as passionately- that’s the power this couple has -

It really does- & speaking for myself as part of the general non -dancing audience you refer to I would absolutely rather see this quality between dance partners first & foremost because it hooks my curiosity to see more & learn more about it regarding all the other facets such as technique etc...
@@williammessana4244 That's exactly the way it has always worked and always will work. We initially buy into the visual emotions, look and feel of the couple first and then every thing else come after. This seems to have been lost on the bone headed administrators that run the sport especially WDSF, who for 4 decades have believed they can turn this beautiful athletic art form into a sport. To some degree they've only succeeded in having turned it into something of a farce. I do believe it will get back to what it was to some degree and it's couples like this that will steer it in that direction. When I look at this couple what I see is the perfect balance between the athletic and the artistic and that's why I'm like a moth to a flame when I watch them.
@@williammessana4244 I googled the English translation of the lyrics to this song.It's about a man who is deeply in love and has a relationship with a woman, but she doesn't truly love him and she's in the relationship because he makes her feel safe. She then falls in love with someone else and is torn because she doesn't know how to let him go and tell him that her love hasn't been true and she pleads for his forgiveness for her dishonesty after all the love he's given to her. I have been that man in my life.
Again I’m left speechless by this beautiful couple-they show it all & hold nothing back- Polina is giving us her passion because Andrey is inspiring it- I love this partnership!

Future Champions is on sight, they are now my new favorite couples, it was breathtaking, and stunningly gorgeous.
I am already addicted to this couple and this routine. I looked up the English translation to the lyrics of this beautiful ballad called Mi Amante amigo ( MY LOVER FRIEND) by Vanesa Martin and now I understand they are portraying the story of those lyrics through this dance and this performance has gone to a whole other stratosphere and for me it's more magnificent than it was before. It's a truly desperate song of pain, betrayal, sorrow and regret and it's deep, hauntingly lamenting and profoundly heartfelt as we can hear by Vanesa's incredible voice.Once you understand what this song is about you immediately realise this is far more than just another rumba dance .
It looks like they are creating a new form of art in which a latin dance becomes not just a dance, but something between the LA dance and the ballet, where a story, sometimes very dramatic and deep, is being told by means of dancers' movements. I don't remember having seen anything like this before. Regarding this song, I suspected it was something very meaningful by catching just a few phrases in Spanish, like "my teacher of so many things", "forgive me", but I have been a little afraid until now to look up the translation not to be disapointed. Finally I've read it, and yes, the song is filled with deepest emotions which are conveyed by these talanted dancers so surprisingly well. It takes much more to do so than purely technical skills, you have to be able to feel such emotions in the first place and to be a good enough actor to portray them in a dance in such detail and so literaly close to the meaning of the words. Just to think this is their first rumba performance together! This is a real masterpiece.
@@Maria_Fomina A masterpiece it is and yes it's so much more thanyour generic run of the mill rumba is it?. For me when it comes to a show performance especially rumba it must move me emotionally in some way and entertain me, not educate me as is the case with most and this one moves me very deeply like few ever have. It is an extraordinary performance and not may dancers have the ability firstly to create it and secondly to connect and truthfully reflect the depth of emotion of the music.It takes a dance partnership of immense talent with the complete array of comprehensive dance skills and (few dancesport dancers have them well enough even those at the very top) to firstly create and to connect and reflect the emotions in the music truthfully in their movements. Thats where I see andrei really shines here because few males could have complemented and given Polina enough to work with for her to deliver this extraordinary performance wich is one of the most beautiful I can remember.
