    I just purchased this air fryer! The temperature probe ensures that my food is cooked to perfection, while the viewing window allows me to watch it cook without opening the fryer and losing heat. The app adds a whole new level of convenience, allowing me to control and monitor my cooking from my smartphone. And the preset cooking modes take the guesswork out of meal prep. This fryer has made cooking effortless and enjoyable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to simplify their time in the kitchen!

    • @BR_ORG

      "without worrying about it being overdone" Not, you can't. Probe will do the job only if you have same meat thickness. If you have same size peace of meat every cooking time take the same duration with same temp and you need a probe only first time

    • @TasteeMagicKitchen
      @TasteeMagicKitchen 5 месяцев назад

      @@BR_ORG I got this cool gadget in my kitchen that auto stops cooking when it hits the right temp or time I set. It helps me nail the perfect doneness every time. Not sure how it does it, but man, it gets the job done. And yeah, I usually stick to cooking meats of the same thickness 'cause I only eat a certain amount.

    Air fryer with a built-in probe, that's a lifesaver! I love how it makes cooking so easy, especially cooking meat. Since I love steaks, I don't always have time and budget to visit the steak house... and I find it super difficult to make my desired doneness... I think I'll give it a try!

      If you don’t mind one steak at a time - it’s little, especially if you use the probe. The probe is a great feature but the important considerations are speed, time, ease of use. An inexpensive instant read thermometer is extremely useful.

    Actually I don't mind it taking longer to cook, because I don't have to be tied to it at all... This is the main pro of air fryers. Plus, it seems to me that this one cooks in a different way. the multi-stage cooking sounds awesome when you don't just want to "air fry" all your food at the same temp.

  • @bethjeans3780
    @bethjeans3780 5 месяцев назад +7

    I liked the reviews when you purchased the air fryers with your own money so there’s less chance of a gratefulness bias or a bias from liking the people from a company. This air fryer has some obvious flaws - speed, size (can’t fit two pork chops?) but the “cons” that you used to discuss weren’t there. You were my air fryer teacher when I got my first Cosori and I still enjoy your videos, book and charts so much. This review felt like a shift.

    • @judymarples5758
      @judymarples5758 5 месяцев назад +4

      Yes, I couldn't agree more. Where was the discussion of the cons with this air fryer.

  • @bethjeans3780
    @bethjeans3780 5 месяцев назад +22

    A major benefit of air fryers is speed. Having to cook two pork chops separately eliminates this air fryer no matter what the positives are. Fun review, just surprised you didn’t discuss that negative. Maybe consider a summary Pros & Cons for each machine reviewed?
    And 28 minutes for fries? That’s twice as long as they take now. The 5.5 size is small after using a 6.8 and another larger one, even with two of us. More space = more air to cook better/crisper or provide leftovers. The window and probe are really neat, as is the raised rack (though one from my Instant Pot works great), but those are extras, not the main star of the show.
    Edit: do read Cathy’s reply to me - while this air fryer wouldn’t be for me, she makes important points, as usual, of course!

    • @jmayeux32
      @jmayeux32 5 месяцев назад

    • @empoweredcooks
      @empoweredcooks  5 месяцев назад +3

      Thank you for your insightful comment and feedback. I appreciate it! I was bummed at how long it took the fries but I understand they are going for a different way to cook them vs traditional air frying at one constant temp/fan speed. The raised rack is a bit smaller than the main tray. I probably could have gotten 2 chops on the raised rack but did not want them crowded. Using the regular tray, 2 pork chops or chicken breasts or steaks would fit. This air fryer would cook a whole chicken the same as my other (old) 5.5 quart units.

    Some products allow you to mask the fact that it is a sponsored review by its real quality. But then these products arrive and between the deceptive title of the video and the big cons of the product such as how long it takes and how little space it has, they make one more disappointed with the reviewer than with the product. Reviewers must ALWAYS be brutally honest and unbiased.

    I love my Dreo Chefmaker and for now my Cosori Dual Blaze does the job of everything else we need but I would definitely consider buying this if the Dual Blaze were to bite it. I love/hate the design of the Tastee probe. It seemed a little short but I like that it plugs in outside the unit with a channel through the drawer. I have this weird little dance with the Dreo to get the probe connected after preheating since I frequently cook meat from frozen. I love love love the peekaboo windows though. Every air fryer to should have a window and a light a la the Dreo and now Tastee. The built-in internal thermometer is indeed very nice and the results are also pleasing. I also like air fryers with a viewing window - I have the Cosori appliance with this window myself.
    But: 28 minutes just to make fries? That's clearly too long!
    For me, a big advantage of a air fryer is that it's much quicker than in the oven, for example.
    Twice the time is a no-go. The perhaps slightly better result does not justify it.

I'm short and that is just not convenient--I'm not getting a stool to be able to see the control panel. I am loving my new Cosori Pro II. The only thing that I'm having trouble with is the start button--my old air fryer used the same button for power & start so I've cut my AF off several times instead of starting it cooking! I love that it stops immediately when you hit power--the old one had to run through a cooling cycle before you could change the settings.

    My review is, since I'm elderly, that I would rather just have a simple air fryer and pop it in. the less tech for me, the better, but younger people might like all these steps.

    I like air fryers because they simplify cooking. This product complicates cooking in an AF. Two thumbs down.

    Right off I heard the word “app” - if this air fryer has anything to do with the internet I will never be purchasing it. I love your videos though! I still haven’t decided but I think I’ll just get the Cosori that you have raved about and that 0:59 a friend has and she loves hers! I just dint understand why manufacturers think we want everything connected to the internet! What happens when it goes down??? Air fryer inoperative?

    Interesting air fryer. Having the Dreo I'm not sure this would be an upgrade. I used my Dreo every day for the past 6 months and everything has turned out perfect with steaks and pork chops using Dreo's temp probe that connects on the inside of the basket. I don't like that this one has a cable coming out of the basket to connect on the outside for the temp probe.

    looks a lot like the Dreo. The problem with the Dreo is that it has very limited items in the "chef" mode so I end up just using the regular air fryer mode. At least this one has a more reasonable price. One pork chop at a time doesn't seem very practical

    I was going to drop a comment on your latest video and ask if you'd test out the Tastee, nd then I found you've have! Glad to see that using the phone app is optional. What do you think to the temp probe cable being damaged by the basket over time? Another video I saw they specifically stated to put the cable at a particular location on the left, does the basket have a knotch or something else that allows for the cable? I'm transitioning from a Keto to Carnivore diet, so the probe is a major plus. On a slightly different topic,I'm looking for an air fryer with a completely glass bowl, have you tested any of those recently and what do/did you think? Many thanks for these very practical videos. 👍
