Far anyone struggling, try putting a barrier between the foundation and your face. A runtine that has really worked to prevent break outs for me is the S.O.S spray from tower 28, good sunscreen, and primer.

I personally really like the Haus Labs concealer! Tower28 & Saie beauty should be acne safe as well but they are more light to medium coverage in my opinion.

The Haus labs foundation could be a problem for me because of the Dimethicone. Any type of silicone causes my skin to break out after a few days of use. It will eventually clog my pores and I will get these tiny bumps.

Oh that is good to know!! What are your favorites without it? Would love to check them out!!

@@kellyannestone I have not found a single great one, unfortunately, without silicone. Silicone or a derivative of it simply makes foundation look smooth. So, I rarely wear it, problem solved. I can wear it for a day or two before I run into problems. Same holds true for cream products, like blush or bronzer. Keep in mind that I have really acne prone skin. Most people don’t have this kind of struggle.

@@zenfloweryoga6722 Thank you. I will definitely give it a try. I do enjoy Nars as a brand. It is nice to have a foundation available when I want a little bit more coverage.

Try to put a barrier between your skin and your foundation, it really helps. I use a acne safe sunscreen and then a skin tint sunscreen. Also a spray like the S.O.S from tower 28, its been a major game changer.

the sunscreen did such a good job on coverage! I personally don’t use sunscreen because my skin seems to be allergic but anyways. I think your amount of acne seems similar to mine, only I have a major texture issue, an insane amount of blackheads & ingrown hairs, it’s so sad. The foundation I do use on occasion doesn’t seem to worsen anything, but I don’t like using it because I know my skin just needs to breathe & do it’s own thing & I also HATE taking make up off! It’s a nightmare & I have an issue with open pores & bleh it’s just sucky & my poor skin doesn’t need more abrasion that’s the amount of exfoliation it already gets🤣 what cleaners & make up remover’s would you recommend? I’m still looking for good ones!

Hi!!! Ugh, it really is a struggle to balance letting your skin breathe! As for sunscreen- it may be good to check between mineral & chemical sunscreens! Most acne medicines make your skin hyper sensitive to sun. I am going to do a drugstore/budget friendly routine next and that foundation won't have sunscreen though. :) I love using a cleansing balm on days that I wear makeup (also really nice if your skin is dry!). alternatively you can use a cleanser + then use a micellar water. I personally love YTTP Kale Cleanser and for something cheaper I would do La Roche Posay!

@@kellyannestone oooooh a cleansing balm sounds like the “balm” haha I think I’ll have to try one now! Thanks for the brand recommendations I’ll keep an eye out for them, also yes please for the budget friendly! I know all the popular stuff is usually spendy, but raw simple ingredients are the bomb & the cheaper the better because it’s easier that way to find more of what works with your skin. Thanks so much!
