Christopher Bell has since taken the blame on a social media post after reviewing the replay.
A lot of good it does now after he shot his mouth off on TV, he should’ve gone to Ross, said it to his face, or kept his mouth shut until he watched the tape.
Typical response from a driver who could not maintain control off his car blaming someone else for his mistake.

I’m getting tired of everyone blaming Chastain. I’m not even a fan of his, this guy has done nothing wrong today, and in the past he’s made mistakes like every other driver out there. They are just pissed that this guy has came out of know where and is a top 5 car week in and week out

Well, not necessarily nowhere (Ross has been in the Cup Series since 2017, had his career almost ruined by the DC Solar incident, and clawed his way back), but he certainly became competitive almost overnight once Trackhouse came on the scene. Trackhouse and 23XI are kind of the competitive underdogs currently, and they're competing in the top 15 every Sunday against Hendrick, Penske, and JGR, the biggest teams in the sport; this is one of the biggest shake-ups the big teams have seen in a long time; Hendrick was virtually uncontested during the CoT era, and Penske and JGR were still very big teams, but Trackhouse and 23XI are now giving them a run for their money.
As Justin Mark's said last year "Ross has entered a chat he's not welcome in" the guys on the top teams don't like some "nobody" showing up out of nowhere and running top 5-10 almost weekly

He did nothing wrong here, but the reputation he has gained is well deserved. He has made far more mistakes than the average driver out there. Plenty of other drivers go out there and perform well and they don't have this reputation. It has nothing to do with him performing well. It has to do with his decision making skills. And this is coming from someone who is a fan of him.
So it's just blame Ross for everything

The 24 incident is on Bell. I don't know what the hell he was thinking. He clearly came up into the 24. Chastain deserves most of the crap he gets, but he was not in the wrong on this one.
I don’t think Chastain deserved Hamlin’s latest anger outburst by putting him into the wall. Hamlin just can’t let past incidents go, he is the problem, not Chastain.
I think Chastain could be out of the race and still get blamed for a wreck.
When in doubt blame Ross seems about right. Even in the booth they blame Ross with the exception of Clint who actually has a brain in his head

Actually, it seems that Ross is starting to clean up his act somewhat. Or maybe he's just learning more and becoming a better driver with experience.

Chastain’s move was clean. Bell couldn’t hold his car together. He can’t race if he has to alter his line in any way. That’s what happened.

Thats why you see what happens before you blame someone. Seems like 30 incidents have been blamed on Ross when it was not even his fault. This is the biggest one yet. I like Bell and want to see him do good but after that idk about him. Watch Replay then put the blame, he was no where near another car. If Chase Elliott did that no one would say a thing.

I didn’t see Ross wreck anybody but I saw Bell wreck William Byron!
He cut in between Chris's turn into the corner. Chris's option then became to either collide with Chastain, let himself float outward, or resist somewhere inbetween which could've flipped the car. 'seems some people here have never been in that situation on the road enough to know a dangerous move. You cant' COME BETWEEN a turning driver and his inside of the turn. I don't think Chastain thought about if the roles were reversed, but he did do a very dangerous move that left Chris really no good options.

I watched Ross the best I could through the entire race, I personally thought that he drove he drove a great race, he lifted a few times when he was in tight spots, he had about a 6th place car and finished 3rd! Even Kurt in Studio said he hit the 8, when that was clearly the other way around?? I'm taking Ross Chastains side from here on out! He's become a lot of drivers ScapeGoat! Which is disappointing to see evolve into!
He didn’t have anything negative like this to say when Bubba Wallace intentionally wrecked Larson and collected him. Which ended his playoffs.

We need to keep track of how many guys cause an incident then blame Ross because of his proximity to what happened. At this rate he’s been the legit sole cause of 2 incidents in the last year yet he’s been blamed for at least 8 incidents, 3 or 4 this year already. It’s showing more and more that the overwhelming majority of the people in this sport and in the fan base hate the fact that someone didn’t get their ride because of their parents bank account and instead worked their ass off for over a decade to get here.

I love how every driver complains about others even as they do exactly the same things.
90% of crashes that are around Ross aren’t always caused by him but they all could be avoided by him. He drives very aggressive and makes drivers move up the track on short notice that leads to wrecks he doesn’t always touch their car but drives aggressive enough to get them loose
