Watching the decline of karolina is one the saddest things I've seen. She went from top contender, besting rose, giving JJ a great challenge... to being on a 4 fight losing streak.

Karolina was good back in the day, skill wise, but the sport has evolved without her and better fighters have come along.
She's not on the same level as the top ranked girls in strawweight anymore and I wish she'd retire, it's upsetting watching her get beat over and over.

Sleep on her at your own peril, at the same time though Valentina is a special talent who has all the tools necessary to put on a clinic against someone like Andrade.

Look back at her second fight against Jedreckzyk where she was able to counter everything she did well in the 3rd and 4th and implement her game plan. We’ll see tho

I remember watching the fight and the only real error Rose made was allowing her to get her up against the cage to lift. She dominated her in every facet, just needs to stay off the cage and if she does lift allow her self to be lifted without the kimura holding onto it is what caused her to be dropped on her head

It means nothing without endurance and durability to avoid relentless assaults by aggressive and powerful fighters like Jessica and Weili.
Rose's gas tank will ONLY help her against pillow fists like Joanna. Rose got slammed twice in the first round, while getting leg kicked, and ate some body shots, and solid hook to the head.
Rose CLEARLY slowed down with her lateral movement in the 2nd, while Jessica chased her, forcing grappling exchanges that ended in Jessica's favor.
Rose was going to last 5 rounds avoiding Andrade while "piecing her up"? This is MMA, not boxing. There's no rules against leg/body/head kicks, 9-3 elbows, clinching, takedowns/trips, slams, and submissions.
Rose has to have PERFECT cardio and movement and avoid ALL clinching/grappling with Jessica, in order to win.
If Rose attempts any messy subs with Jessica, she'll lose again.
Rose against Weili? Are you serious? Weili turned Joanna into megamind on 6 hours of sleep in two days, with two time zone changes/jet lag, and worries about her family and nation.
What do you think will happen with Weili having a smooth uninterrupted training camp?
A woman that has a 21 fight win streak with 17 finishes, 10 by KO/TKO & 7 subs? A proven chin and gas tank with Joanna?
In the UFC, Weili has a 100% takedown defense, and has taken down all fighters except Andrade.
Outscored Taylor and Torres, when they were trying to play the scoring game?
Subbed a higher ranked BJJ veteran in Aguilar, after giving her a cut from a single standing elbow, with punishing GnP from top control and from the bottom?
Then completely DOMINATED Andrade from the clinch, chased her with solid straight landing, and two big follow up shots on the ground?
I suggest you find Weili's video of 10 KO/TKO and 7 submission finishes.

Futbol De Contra! Super hard to watch, Rose is my second favorite female fighter and I remember seeing that knockout and being devastated. But I do expect her to bounce back in the rematch, she just needs to avoid being up against the cage and allowing Andrade to grab hold for too long. She’s too fast and skilled for Andrade in a striking match. If it comes to grappling, she needs to be the one initiating it, she has to be first

Fighters who beat fan favourites tend to earn an irrational level of scorn. Chris Weidman was hated for beating Anderson Silva twice as was Tyron Woodley for KO'ing Robbie Lawler. Rose Namajunas is a huge fan favourite so her getting slam KO'd by Andrade earnt her some unnecessary level of hate from fans.
That slam finish is actually scary to look at.

This girl Jessica Andrade is a monster. Just look at how she decisively demolished her opponents in the last few fights. I foresee a bright future for her mixed martial career. Save for when she momentarily forgets what she's in the Octagon for, she can tame anyone, including Amanda Nunes (if they are in the same division).
Amanda's too big, skilled and powerful for her. Andrade would get toyed with by Amanda, and possibly knocked out.

Wasnt the first time she did that exact move she did to Rose. After one of her first amateur BJJ competitions, when Andrade was caught in an armlock, she panicked and performed the illegal move on her opponent by lifting her and then slamming her head directly into the mat. To Andrade's surprise, she was immediately disqualified.

@@jessecrockett8127 No question, she looked great but you can't look over her weak areas and the fact she was finished in the 2nd round. While she did win the striking exchanges, Andrade has a clear grappling advantage. We'll see in the rematch.
